Morenna’s Game: A Cursed Toy Horror Adventure

Creating your character

Characters will begin at Level 2. We will be using 2024 rule set I have access to all needed races. At the start of the game we will briefly go over the available races for Morenna’s Game. In this setting your soul has been stolen and placed into a strange new body. Available race options include Pinocchio-like wooden puppets, living dolls, mechanical robots, stuffed animals, zombies, and mandrake-like plant creatures. For ability scores, players may choose Point Buy, Standard Array, or roll for stats using the roll bot in the Discord server if they prefer rolling. Characters can be created using D&D Beyond or your preferred character sheet before the session begins. Most official 5e options are welcome, though some may be adjusted to better fit the theme of the setting. If you need help creating your character, I’m happy to help before the game starts.

Preparing for the session

1️⃣ Join the Discord Server All game communication, announcements, and dice rolling will take place in the Discord server. 2️⃣ Create Your Character on D&D Beyond Characters should be created at Level 2 using D&D Beyond. 3️⃣ Access the Virtual Tabletop We will use Roll20 and D&D Beyond Maps for combat and exploration. 4️⃣ Choose Your Stats Method Use Point Buy, Standard Array, or roll for stats using the roll bot in the Discord server. 5️⃣ Microphone Required A working microphone is required so everyone can participate in roleplay and discussion. If you need help with character creation or setup, I’m happy to help before the session begins!

What GM Kam brings to the table

I run immersive, story-driven games where your choices matter. I love roleplay, character voices, and ambient music to help bring the world to life. Combat is fast-paced and cinematic, and while I respect the rules, I lean into the Rule of Cool when it makes sense. Most importantly, I’m rooting for my players and want everyone to have a great time at the table.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew Rules I run a fairly rules-as-written game, but I do allow the Rule of Cool when it makes sense and creates a memorable moment. I also aim to keep combat fast-paced and cinematic, so I may make quick rulings at the table to keep things moving. If anything unusual comes up, we’ll talk it through together.

How GM Kam creates a safe table

Player comfort is important at my table. We’ll establish boundaries before the game begins and I encourage players to communicate if something makes them uncomfortable. If a topic needs to be avoided or toned down, we’ll adjust without question. My goal is to create a respectful, welcoming table where everyone can enjoy the game and feel safe participating.
