About the adventure

This is a campaign set in the Dark Matter Universe, a sci fi supplement for D&D 5.5e by Mage Hand Press. Belcrath Notholcnush, eccentric trillionaire and master of trade in the 'Verse as you know it, has passed away. In his final communique with the Maw stations of the galaxy, he informs everyone that he has made a discovery that allowed him to become the king of galactic trade, and is giving it to whoever can solve all the clues and find his treasure. He goes on to say that his prize is something of great power that may change the state of the 'verse forever, for good or ill, depending on whose hands it ends up in. Naturally, this causes multiple corporations, guilds, and mercenary groups to sponsor ships in the Great Space Race, as it will come to be known by future historians. Your crew decides to throw their hats in the ring, as the reward seems to greatly outweigh the risk. As you investigate the map and clues contained therein, you begin to notice something strange. People are beginning to report shared dreams, thoughts, and even synchronized speech between them. The incidents seem isolated to the outer edges of the 'Verse and the Maw network, but it appears to be spreading. Can you find out what is causing the psychic synchronization before things get worse? Will you be able to find your way across the 'Verse in time to be the first to the prize? Only time will tell.

About me

A veteran gamer and LARPer for over 25 years, I am always open to playing any system that you might be interested in. As a GM/DM I am fair and happy to entertain house rules and adjustments to magic items and the like. The more involved the players are in the creation of the campaign the better, in my opinion. I love hosting games as much as playing them, and look forward to playing with all of you!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will be providing the Dark Matter 5.5e supplement from Mage Hand Press for you to make characters, as well as providing specialized character sheets for the campaign. There exists a number of overviews for Dark Matter online as well if you wish to learn more. We will start at level 5, with 2 uncommon items and one rare, as well as one gadget of your choice. You can intermix regular D&D 5.5e items with those detailed in Dark Matter as well.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a discord account and be able to utilize the Owlbear Rodeo VTT. Also you need a program that will allow you to fill in form fields on a PDF file. It will also help to have a tupperbox account and know how to create and use tuppers. We will use them on the storyboard channel.

What Zatatmando(Lee) brings to the table

I will provide the Supplement handbook for Dark Matter 5.5e when you join the discord server, as well as the character sheets.

Homebrew rules

No HB just yet, other than that drinking a potion or serum is a bonus action.

How Zatatmando(Lee) creates a safe table
