About the adventure
The Stack is a fast, violent, neon-soaked CY_BORG mini-adventure set inside a locked-down megabuilding ruled by gangs, fear, and bad choices. Vox, the warlord at the top of the tower, has stolen the BLACK KEY — a military-grade device capable of breaching the city’s defence network. His hacker needs twelve hours to crack it. If he succeeds, the city becomes his weapon. If the team fails, the government will level the entire building with everyone still inside. You play a deniable crew of debtors, criminals, killers, hackers, outcasts, and desperate specialists sent into The Stack because the authorities cannot risk an official assault. Your mission is simple on paper: get in, climb floor by floor, recover or destroy the BLACK KEY, and neutralise Vox. In return, your debts, records, bounties, and corporate chains will be wiped clean. No backup. No public recognition. No mercy if you fail. This game is for players who enjoy cinematic action, gritty cyberpunk, moral pressure, and dangerous problem-solving. Expect gang-controlled floors, civilians caught in the middle, brutal firefights, hacking, negotiation, dirty deals, and moments where the “right” choice may cost precious time. The tone is inspired by films like Dredd, The Raid, and Escape from L.A., with a heavy dose of CY_BORG chaos and punk energy. Rules-wise, this will be fast-paced and fiction-first. You do not need to know CY_BORG inside out to play; the focus is on bold decisions, stylish violence, and keeping the story moving. New players are welcome, but be ready for a harsh world where survival is not guaranteed and every floor of The Stack wants you dead.

About me
I am relatively new to the TTRPG Community but have been a fan for years. I started playing in 2025 after finding a great community and then decided to jump into the GM seat. My first run of Alien RPG was a challenge and made me anxious but once I started I felt so comfortable and got some really good feedback from the players, especially as there were 2 regular GM's playing with over 60 years experience between them. I have studied different systems from the ever present D20, Year-Zero, Genesys, COC and many more I am currently writing a campaign set in the Resident Evil universe using the Genesys system with fully customised and interactive maps. If anyone would like to give this new GM a try I am willing to GM for free

This scenario has Pre-Gen characters but you are welcome to create your own. Character creation is really simple and you are free to rename your character and use your own token artwork But this will all be supplied and sorted if you just want to jump straight in

How Dave creates a safe table
Player comfort and safety are a priority at my table, especially in horror-focused games like Alien RPG. Before play begins, I make sure everyone knows that their boundaries will be respected and that they are always in control of their experience. I use Lines & Veils to establish content boundaries, and I will share a simple document before the game (or cover it at the start if it’s a one-shot). We’ll briefly go over expectations during Session 0 or the game intro, including tone, themes, and any content players would prefer to avoid or keep off-screen. During play, I use digital safety tools: An X-card equivalent (via chat or private message) that players can use at any time, no explanation required N & O signals handled verbally or through chat, depending on player preference Players are always welcome to step away, pause the game, or message me privately if something doesn’t feel right After intense scenes, I make space for aftercare, whether that’s a short decompression chat, checking in with players, or shifting tone before ending the session. Feedback is always welcome, and I’m happy to adjust pacing, intensity, or content to ensure everyone feels safe and respected. The goal is to create a tense, immersive experience without ever making a player uncomfortable. Horror should be thrilling—not stressful in a bad way.
