About the adventure

Far to the east of the Sword Sea lies a small continent absent from every known map. Though unknown to most of the world, it is far from uninhabited. Coastal cities, isolated villages, and ancient ruins have existed there for generations, cut off from the wider world by violent waters and deadly reefs. For centuries, life on the continent was harsh but ordinary. Then the towers appeared. Without warning, three colossal towers rose from the land in bursts of arcane energy visible for miles. Carved into the entrance of each tower is the same message: “Rise, conquer, and be rewarded.” Since their arrival, adventurers, mercenaries, scholars, and treasure hunters from across the continent have flocked to the towers seeking fame, fortune, and power. Those who conquer a single tower are promised riches and glory beyond imagination. Those capable of overcoming all three towers will be granted an artifact from the mysterious creator’s personal vault. As you near the first tower, you spot a lone man waiting beside the road about a mile from the tower grounds. He wears a hooded cloak of royal blue trimmed in white and gold, his face hidden beneath the hood. “You’re heading to the towers?” he asks calmly. “Then allow me to warn you. Many have attempted, but no one has conquered all three.” He glances toward the distant tower before continuing. “If you still intend to go, I ask a favor. I represent an organization seeking answers about the towers and their creator. Should you uncover anything within writings, symbols, creatures or artifacts record it if you can.” ****Combat and Exploration heavy.****

About me

I’ve been writing, world/character building and collaborative storytelling (for fun) for 10+ years. 5 years ago I asked a few friends and family members if they wanted to do some D&D with me and I’ve been hooked since. My favorite things about GMing are building worlds with deep lore, creating memorable moments and dealing with the chao-… creativity that players bring.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters are created in DndBeyond, I like to work with players to build their characters prior to Session 0. During Session 0 we will make final changes and "lock in" characters. Starting Level: 5 Ability Points: Point Buy or Standard Array Sourcebooks: Official D&D Content Illrigger class is not allowed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: Discord (Voice Chat, updates, campaign chat etc.) Free DnDBeyond Account (for character creation/leveling) No account needed for FoundryVTT. I host directly from my machine.

What King brings to the table

I bring an open explorable world with custom maps, background music, unique NPCs and a love for storytelling. I encourage creativity even if it means bending the rules a bit. Did everyone have fun? Is more important than Did everyone strictly follow the rules?

Homebrew rules

I don’t have many homebrew rules but expect a lot of homebrew items and creatures.
