About the adventure

On the southern coast of the Starstone Isle lies the small fishing town of Otari. A sleepy settlement like this isn't usually the place for adventurers to stake their claim, but our heroes are drawn by a quest with an incredibly promising reward. Tamily Tanderveil, one of the town elders, promises a villa in exchange for clearing rats out of her basement. ⚔️ Engage in diverse and rewarding fights with a beginner-friendly introduction to Pathfinder 2E's combat mechanics. 💬 Build bonds with a large supporting cast of NPC's. Get to know your neighbors and unlock NPC sidequests. 🏡 Develop your party headquarters. Customize your room and the surrounding property, and get up to all sorts of downtime activities from baking to smithing.

About me

Kia ora! I'm Coffee, a GM of three years looking to turn pro. I first fell into the TTRPG scene after listening to The Adventure Zone. My first game was D&D, though after being a player for a few months I realized I was much better suited to GMing. I ran a prewritten adventure for a few months, then dived headfirst into homebrew. Since then I've run multiple campaigns, mostly in Pathfinder 2E, with some coming to incredible conclusions at high levels. Nowadays I consider myself system-agnostic, and prefer to cater my choice of TTRPG to what will best suit my players style while allowing me to engage in my flair for worldbuilding and drama.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character ideas will be fleshed out one-on-one via text or call to guide through Pathfinders more complicated character creation process (via Pathbuilder). Players will be questioned on their previous TTRPG or game experiences to help identify recommendations of classes and spells with mechanics they'll enjoy using.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Game information and voice calls will be held on a Discord server. The game will be run on an independently hosted Foundry server which will not require any form of account creation.

What Coffee brings to the table

Character voices and theatre inserts will be used to create more immersive NPC interactions. Background music and ambience are utilized alongside a full array of custom-designed and mechanically interesting maps. Improvised actions will be incentivized and rewarded to encourage rule of cool while working with Pathfinder's in-depth mechanics.

Safety

How Coffee creates a safe table

A baseline of interpersonal etiquette will be expected of players to ensure a safe playspace for people of all identities and backgrounds. A checklist will be provided to each player to identify which elements players want to engage with and what topics to avoid. Debriefings will occur between narrative beats to cover any potential upcoming veiled topics and establish player goals to focus on.
