About the adventure

Curse of Strahd + Age of Umbra Daggerheart's system on DnD's most famous campaign and setting! ______________________ The Mists are calling... Barovia is cursed, and that curse has a proper name, Strahd. This is a game of gothic horror, where survival is never guaranteed, choices have lasting consequences, and every shadow may hide something watching… or waiting. You, and other adventurers, will be drawn into this forsaken land, uncovering the tragic history of Barovia and their inhabitants and deciding how to face its tyrannical ruler. Will you fight to break the curse, or will the land consume you as it has so many before?

About me

English/Spanish Speaker. Hi, I’m David Barbosa, I've been playing RPGs since I was a kid, and TTRPGs for the past 17 years. 7 of those years as a Dungeon Master. I enjoy creating engaging stories, challenging encounters, and fun roleplaying opportunities for players of all experience levels. My DM style is story-driven, with some tactical seasoning (I usually use a grid for combats, but may as well adapt to thearer of the mind if needed), and I like to run games that focus on exploration and character growth. Whether you’re new to the game or a veteran, I aim to make every session enjoyable and immersive.

Character creation

Creating your character

This game will use Daggerheart rules. The adventure will start at level 1, and the characters will be created using Demiplane. I will share the basic book with anyone who need it to access all character creation options.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Webcam and Mic are required. The players need to have a way to take notes and a Demiplane account to create the characters. As for the rules, I will try to ease the experience as much as possible, just asking for the rolls needed and helping with the questions that may arise, however, it will be better if the players spend a little time getting to understand the character sheet, as it will be full ot tools for them to use during the campaign.

What David brings to the table

We will be using Owlbear Rodeo, with Custom Maps, made by myself, and tokens for your characters. In sesion 0 we will determine if the players prefer a map and miniatures or theater of the mind, however, I will still use maps to help visualize spaces and relevant information. I won't use voices often, but I usually find a way to make the characters shine, especially on their way to interact with the players.

Homebrew rules

We will use the Age of Umbra rules.

How David creates a safe table

In Sesion 0, we will discuss on the tone and any restriction the players consider necessary. And at any point in the campaign, players will be able to express if there is something they don't feel comfortable with.
