About the adventure
Over the years I have run this mini-adventure for countless new players, and I consider it to be a perfect introduction to the game of Dungeons and Dragons. All of those classic beats that you're looking for in a session of DnD, you can find here! Together we'll look over your character sheets, and introduce, one by one, the different mechanics and features of the game. By the end you are sure to have a firm grasp on the basics of tabletop rpgs, and from there, the opportunities for adventure are endless!

About me
Hi friends! I've been a professional theatre and TV actor for 20 years, and a role playing fan for nearly as long! However, when video game rpgs could no longer scratch the itch, I dove into ttrpgs in 2017 and haven't looked back. I've run many multi-year campaigns for friends, both in person and online, and I'm excited to make take the leap into professional GMing! Take a look at the Dream Roll Gaming channel on YouTube, a short-lived but very rewarding project I had with a few actor friends of mine. In those videos you can get a sense of my style as a GM. I prefer games with an open-ended world which sets problems for the player characters, and lets the plot unfold as a consequence of their behavior. If you are looking for a space to bring a character to life and to have a hand in crafting a world, I'm your guy.

Creating your character
Through the link that I provide to DnDBeyond, you may either create your own 1st level character by following the prompts, or select a premade character. At the beginning of the game we will look over the characters together to be sure that everything is as it should be!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will provide a link to the campaign page on DnDBeyond for character building, and a link to the campaign on AlchemyRPG, which you can either download as an application or play through your web browser.
What Dream Roll DM brings to the table
You will be able to access all of the digital resources I have through DnDBeyond for character options, and I'll also invite you to the DreamRollDM Discord to meet fellow nerds and find a group that suits you :)
Homebrew rules
As a beginner player, you don't have to worry about any homebrew rules that would change the way the game plays for you. We will stick with "rules as written" for all character facing options. On my side, I will be utilizing some third-party statblocks from MCDM, but that's just to ensure an engaging and exciting adventure for you!
