About the adventure
A drop-in, drop-out Mythras West Marches game built around weekly expeditions, hex exploration, and adventure-of-the-week play. Each session sends the party into the wilderness to scout, survive, recover treasure, make discoveries, and push the map a little farther outward. The twist: after you play a session, you get to help expand the world. Depending on the difficulty of the expedition, participating players help invent new territory for the campaign map: 1 hex after an easy session, 2 hexes after a normal session, or 3 hexes after a hard session.

About me
Hi I'm Alex, I've been playing or running Tabeltop RPG games since about 1982 in one form or another. I have a wealth of experience with many of the most popular systems and quite a few obscure ones, but nowadays I tend to gravitate to d100 systems. I tend to go by the moniker 'The Maze Controller' (iykyk) when playing or GMing. As a loose confederation I brand my groups under the title of 'Bad Wrong Fun'. (Again - iykyk) Nowadays I tend to run games online, With my preferred VTT being Tabletop Simulator, supporting the table with a variety of skills. I indulge in most anything needed. Trying my hand at writing, voice acting, drawing, light coding, even some 3d modelling to maintain a true tabletop feel.

Creating your character
I'll contact new players shortly after they register for a session to help them design a character, or offer a pre generated character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a working microphone, Discord, and a copy of Tabletop Simulator ready for the session. A camera is welcome but not required. I will contact you within 12 hours of registration to confirm details, answer any questions, and walk you through what to expect.
What Maze Controller brings to the table
We will provide a structured, drop-in friendly Mythras West Marches campaign built around weekly expeditions, meaningful choices, and a living wilderness that changes as players explore it. Each session will have a clear expedition goal, a known difficulty range, and enough structure to make drop-in play easy without making the world feel shallow. You can expect exploration, survival pressure, dangerous combat, strange discoveries, factions, rumors, ruins, and consequences that carry forward from one expedition to the next. We have all the prepared hex content: encounter sites, NPCs, rumors, treasure, hazards, and tactical situations, while leaving room for player plans to matter. After each expedition, players will also help expand the world by adding new territory to the campaign map: easy expeditions add 1 hex, normal expeditions add 2, and hard expeditions add 3. My GM style leans toward grounded, consequence-driven play rather than pure Rule of Cool. Clever ideas are welcome, and I am no stranger to "yes and", but the world has weight. Combat is dangerous, choices matter, and good planning can be just as powerful as a good sword arm. New players are welcome. I will explain Mythras rules as they come up, help you understand your options, and keep the focus on playing the game rather than memorizing a rulebook. You can expect a table that is organized, welcoming, and serious about making each adventure memorable.
Homebrew rules
This campaign uses a player-facing map expansion method. After each completed expedition, participating players help add new territory to the campaign map. Easy expedition: players help create 1 new hex Normal expedition: players help create 2 new hexes Hard expedition: players help create 3 new hexes Player-created hexes are collaborative prompts, not just blank checks. I will curate and connect them so they fit the tone, geography, factions, and ongoing elements of the campaign. Mythras rules will otherwise be run close to RAW, with rulings made openly at the table when needed.

How Maze Controller creates a safe table
Anytime a player needs to, they may privately signal me for a short 5 minute time out, and I will call for one to address any concerns one on one. When we come back to the table, we can make course corrections while respecting people's anonymity.
