Creating your character

Character creation can be done a couple of ways. For a campaign I give my players the use of a shared Obsidian Vault with MANY extra resources and in depth connectivity and Character Sheets. Joint notes and shared connections. Or that there are Character sheets within Talespire that can be utilized! From there, all resources within Obsidian for character options, ex race and class, are cleared and permitted. If you are using the character sheets in Talespire please stick to properly published content, and if in question for additional it can be run past me. Characters start at Level 1 to start, with basic starting equipment and gold. Racial traits can be discussed. You are granted the full Hit Die for your rolled Hp up to level 5, and please use any method for your Stats Except the Rolled Stats as I find that can imbalance a party too easily. Please have your character ready using the following guidelines: - Maxed out Hit Points to Level 5 - One Uncommon or Common magic item - No class or race restrictions (but if it's homebrew please run it by me first) - Stats can be done in any method, but I do find Point Buy or Standard Array to be more balanced across the table. - Use of a Magical Focus replaces Components for Casters - No Encumbrance outside reason - I know DnDBeyond has been having issues as of late in selecting 2014 rules but if you're using that please try to keep it clear of 2024. I always encouraging using other methods for your character sheets such as Demiplane. For my returning players the Obsidian Players Vault is usually the best option. Please make sure you connect to my Discord, have Talespire Guest or Full Edition Installed. I will send the Talespire Board Code 15minutes before game time in the Discord channel. If you would like to play with a custom Mini please connect your Herosforge or Titancraft account to your Talespire early on so that you can link you're mini as soon as we load. If you do Not wish to use a custom please let me know also so that I may prepare a mini for your character. Preparing for the session

You will need a Mic and your Discord Account. You may choose to use your own Talespire, one of my "seats" (Talespire free), or to have the Discord Screenshare of my Talespire so that you may take part in the visual and audio of the game itself. I will be running my camera unless someone's bandwidth does not permit it to function properly, but I do not expect anyone else to do as well. Camera's are purely based upon everyone's comfort levels. Please have your characters ready and familiarize yourself with your character sheet, I am available for any questions before the game happens and happy to help as needed so you are ready to play at game time. Character sheets can be done through the campaign Obsidian or on Talespire itself. What DM Niesa brings to the table

I strive to be a story teller, customizing everything for my individual players benefit. I work on voices, but the core of what I try to bring is the emotional involvement and an ongoing interest in what will come next. I bring along the use of Talespire to build 3D immersion, audio for sound effects and ambiance and interactive maps. This allows HeroForge and Titancraft to connect and bring in your own mini's if you would like and have your own Talespire account. I also have extra Seats in Talespire, which allow you to use the game and enjoy it off of my own purchase. For repeat customers I also allow access to my own special databank with resources for character creation. So for the players coming to this campaign for repeats they will have use to that resource within Obsidian. I am a pretty relaxed but consistent GM. I utilize the Rule of Cool within reason to free up the space for your wildest ideas, out of the box thinking and the ability to be unleashed! Using expanded content from sources beyond WoTC, like from DMs Guild and Kobold Press. I go with the flow of the party, happily blending to their styles so we all can enjoy our games to the fullest.

Homebrew rules

- Nat 20 on Initiative means choose your place in combat / OR Surprise Round. Nat 1 is last place and Miss first round. - Attack rolls double the target's AC Count as a Crit - Initiative ties allow the players to intermesh their turns - Initiative side by side means they can strategize - Attack rolls double the target's AC Count as a Crit - Use Crit Cards and Dice (plus max damage possibly) - Use an action for Health Potion is full healing, but roll for healing if you use a bonus action.
