About the adventure
From the dusty, bustling seaside streets of Port Damali to the windswept desert jewel of Ank'Harel, I invite you to join me on an adventure ages in the making! We'll scale the backs of great beasts, delve twisting and terrifying temples, and together, we'll answer Destiny's pressing question- what does it truly mean to be a legend? The first offering from the acclaimed Critical Role team, CALL OF THE NETHERDEEP takes players on a rousing journey through the distant land of Wildemount. Players at my table will be given the chance to develop their characters against a rival team of adventurers as well as a myriad of NPCs and enemies. Space will be given for those quiet moments of player roleplay, and character development is strongly rewarded! The trek through Wildemount will be anything but easy. Players can expect a tactical combat experience with mighty foes and real consequences. New players need not be afraid, however- all skill levels are welcome, and I am more than happy to answer any questions during downtime. I offer a free session zero to all players as well as a guided character creation experience for newcomers. So, grab yourself a seat at the table, shine up your dice, and let's weave a tale for the ages!

Creating your character
Characters should begin at level 1 using the Heroic Chronicle system laid out in the "Explorer's Guide to Wildemount." All players will be asked to use Standard Array and fixed HP when generating their character's stats. Players may also feel free to use the Custom Origin rules set forth in "Tasha's Cauldron of Everything." Once admitted to the table, I will invite the player to their dedicated Roll20 game host. Our character sheets will be hosted on Roll20 using the onboard compendium. Players are welcome to create their characters on their own, or they are welcome to wait until Session Zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
In order to play, you will need a microphone in good working order. You will need to install Discord, and join the game's server when invited. You will need to sign up for a free Roll20 account if you have not already done so. In addition, while not required, I recommend reading up on the Heroic Chronicle system in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, as this may help inspire your character creation!
What Patrick brings to the table
I will be hosting this game on Roll20, complete with all necessary compendium sharing in-game. All maps, campaign material, items, and systems are ready to go! In addition, those who see their campaign to the end will be rewarded with a custom HeroForge mini of their character in Premium Plastic, shipped to their address of choice!

How Patrick creates a safe table
TRIGGER WARNING: THALASSOPHOBIA Session Zero will involve character creation and confirmation, discussion about the settings and themes, and a welcoming discussion on what players can and should expect. As stated previously, Session Zero is free of charge. During gameplay, voice chat (and video, should the player be comfortable being on camera) will be handled over Discord for easy administration and scene control. Players are welcome to directly message me over Discord with their X and N cards for a real-time and private means of regulating their experience. Players will be given a 15 minute break at the two-hour mark, but players are welcome to refresh drinks, get snacks, or use the restroom so long as it does not disrupt gameplay. Players are not expected to stay in character one hundred percent of the time, but active roleplay and character development are encouraged and rewarded in-game. I have a strict open door policy, and a zero-tolerance policy for acts of harassment, discrimination, or exclusionary behaviors and language. All players are welcome at my table.
