About the adventure

The Sapphire Star- a notorious syndicate that roots itself in the darkest parts of the underbelly of The Shattered Isles. Rooted from the seeds of ancient rebellion, it was birthed from justice and slowly perverted into ill-intent; a parasite that gorges and blisters into something larger, uglier, and more powerful. Many have tried to burst the monster across centuries of its existence, including efforts made by demigods, heroes, and archimagi. But with every head sliced from this writhing wyrm, two more grow in its place and it continues to persist, more pestilent than before. You are one of these heads. A small branch offset on the island of Fallahar in its ugly underground, below the opulence of its casinos, night life, celebrities and nobility. The island itself is split by two cultures, that of a capitalist hellscape carved out by human greed, ran by gangs and dons, and the other half swallowed by nature and the gaping Great Abyss, with towering stone structures ruled over by the last red dragons that punish their slaves under fiery fist. You dwell in the city, in a dog-eat-dog world as an insignificant goon under the watchful eye, ear and order of the infamous leader of the Sapphire Star; or more specifically, one of the notorious Archibald Cipher’s underlings. You're too insignificant for that devi-lich to even notice-- but that sentiment won't remain forever. After all, you're different from the rest of those sniveling nobodies- you have ambition; drive. You're willing to do things others aren't, either from a blacked heart poisoned from vitriol, or simple, human sin and cruelty. While the presence of the Sapphire Star may be small for now within Fallahar, it's a fruit that's yours for the taking-- ripe and aching to be plucked. Your boss, a masked woman who simply is regarded as Tiger, has given you a job and boy, it looks to be a big one. Apparently, she wants you to go off and find a way to sway the public. Public work, huh? Well that's a good start, because the one that rules over the common man is the one in charge. How are you going to do it? Well, definitely not without getting some blood under your nails. Good luck, you dirty bastards.
