About the adventure
You start in Merivale. You already have a couple adventures under your belt. Mayor Tills still tells stories of legends few remember. Marla, keeper of the Valley's Rest, is willing to share rumours with the local heroes. The fairy Moonblossom still sits in the golden Fairy Tree. But now that you have outgrown your small village, the valley opens up. Do you make for Farhope, the big city? You heard of a rat plague in the sewers? Push into the Elderwild and find out more about the priceless magical honey? Search for the Vanishing Caravans in the Iceforge Mountains? Or even explore the Growling Marshes and face a hag? We will start with adventures from the official Nimble GM Guide but the campaign is yours to drive. Follow the threads that excite you and ignore the ones that don't. Either way you will have to fight. Be prepared to slay many legendary monsters before you can become a true legend yourself.

About me
Hi! I’m Susann, a DM who first and foremost believes the best stories are the ones we build together. I've been DMing D&D 5e (2024) for over two years now, and more recently I've fallen in love with running Nimble, a fast, tactical system that gets you straight to the good stuff: meaningful choices, snappy combat, and characters who feel powerful from session one. I run both systems regularly and am happy to chat about which might suit you best. While I love a good plot twist as much as anyone, my true joy comes from facilitating stories rather than writing them. My goal is simple: portray a world that reacts to your choices, celebrates your chaos, and gives your characters the adventures they deserve. In my in-person home game my PCs are exploring Gullet Cove as awakened animals (Animal Adventure Campaign Setting from Steamforge Games) and are facing all types of different challenges from evil Rat Kings looking to overthrow the city to trying to establish a downline in a very lucrative triangle of trust. You might have the pleasure of seeing one of my pets in the background of my webcam (yes, I like play with video on). I have two cats - who both only have one eye.

Creating your character
To create your character review all the 12 available classes and pick the one that excites you the most and then you just need to pick an ancestry and a background that will have the most important choices covered. You can review all this on https://nimblenomicon.online/. Please create your level 3 character on https://nimble.bitnook.cc/ and as we will use that for our character sheets and dice rolls. You can start with the equipment listed for your class and background and 100GP to buy further equipment. Or 150 GP to buy all your equipment from scratch. If you want to use one of the new classes and subclasses, I am 100% okay with that, just be prepared to have the pdf next to you during play and roll manually in Owlbear Rodeo or to create the needed content in Sidekick.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use Discord for communication during sessions and for voice and video during the session. We use Owlbear Rodeo for our Virtual Tabletop. You don’t need to sign up for that. I will just share the link and we will be ready to go. And https://nimble.bitnook.cc/ for our character sheets.
What Susann brings to the table
We will jump straight into the action, expect action-packed combat, dungeon exploration and NPC to engage with. I use a transcription bot so that we can get a session summary while being able to fully focus on our game.
Homebrew rules
A fast decision is better than a slow right one. We are playing Nimble because we want fast paced tactical combat, so fast is better than 100% rules as written. We can always look up rules after the session. Initiative order is up to you as players.

Safety
How Susann creates a safe table
We will complete the Player Deck of Safety at the beginning of Session 0 to know what topics to avoid. During the session anyone can stop the session for any reason by saying Pause a minute and that will allow us to stop and address anything or just take a quick break before we return to the game.
