Creating your character

We will create our level 1 characters on D&D Beyond! Please create your characters as if they were Victorian nobility for this adventure. Please reach out to me with any questions, I would be happy to answer them. If you don't want to create a character, please let me know and I can provide one for you. And don't forget to wear your best outfit for the coming ball! ;)

What Nyxnight brings to the table

I provide a fully guided, beginner-friendly experience designed to help players feel comfortable and confident while learning D&D. I focus on clear explanations, supportive play, and making sure everyone has a chance to participate and shine. My games emphasize immersive storytelling, character interaction, and creative problem-solving. I enjoy using character voices and rich descriptions to bring scenes to life and create a fun, engaging atmosphere. Players can expect a roleplay-focused experience with meaningful choices, light mystery, and moments of tension, with combat kept simple and cinematic. I generally follow the rules of D&D while allowing flexibility for creative ideas, especially when it enhances the story. Most importantly, I aim to create a respectful, welcoming environment where players can relax, have fun, and enjoy being part of the adventure.

How Nyxnight creates a safe table

Player comfort and safety are a top priority at my table. Before the game, I use Lines and Veils so players can share any topics they would like to avoid or keep off-screen. This helps ensure the game stays appropriate, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone, especially for younger or newer players. During the session, I use a simple X, N, & O system through chat or voice, allowing players to quickly signal if they are uncomfortable (X), want to steer away from something (N), or are enjoying the scene (O). I will always pause and adjust the game as needed, no questions asked. I also keep content age-appropriate, with clean romance and a focus on respectful interactions between players. At the end of the session, I like to do a brief check-in so players can share what they enjoyed and voice any concerns. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where everyone feels safe, included, and able to enjoy the story.
