About me
I’ve been GMing for 8 years now, mostly home games with my friends. Even though most of my experience is with 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons, recently I’ve become much more interested in cinematic and fiction-first games.

Creating your character
Character creation will be done during session 0. It's fine to come with an idea or even a playbook in mind coming into the session, but we will be flushing out the town of Haley and our world as we set the stage, so it's a good idea to keep an open mind. You as the hunters will be regular citizens of this small town, though a few of the playbooks will establish you as more notable or knowledgeable in the supernatural world. Feel free to browse the books beforehand. All playbooks from the core book will be usable, as well as the two supplementary books: Tome of Mysteries and Codex of Worlds
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The only thing required to play is a discord and foundry account and a microphone. We will use foundry for character sheets. Feel free to read through Monster of the Week, but it's not necessary. The game is rules-lite and fairly easy to grasp.

How Mal creates a safe table
During session 0 we'll go over character creations and campaign expectations. We will fill out the lines and veils list and go over it together to ensure we're all on the same page as to the content we want and don't want in our game. Breaks will happen at around the half point of each session (~1.5 to 2 hours in) to ensure smooth play during game time. At the end of every session, we'll have a short check-in to make sure we're content with the direction of the campaign and handling of our consent sheet. We will be treating the lines and veils as a non-complete list, meaning that while we will begin the game with everything discussed in session 0, the list will be amended as needed to ensure everyone is happy with play.
