About the adventure
When a deep gnome sailor named Orlen Brinefoot approaches the party with news of a lost captain’s treasure hidden deep within the Underdark, the job seems simple: recover the hoard and split the profits. But beneath abandoned trade routes and drowned caverns, something far older waits to be uncovered. What begins as a treasure hunt quickly becomes a descent into forgotten tunnels, ruins, and a sealed vault where dangerous secrets lie buried. Strange magical pulses ripple through the stone and a fractured relic hints at powers beyond this plane. The deeper the party travels, the clearer it becomes that the treasure may not be the most valuable, or the most dangerous, thing hidden below. This game is ideal for players who enjoy immersive storytelling, meaningful character moments, and a balance of narrative and combat. Both new and experienced players are welcome, and the table is designed to be collaborative, respectful, and focused on creating memorable moments together in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. This one-shot serves as a sampler. Satisfied players can form a complete group and take on the entire campaign afterwards.

About me
Hi, I’m Brayden, a dedicated Dungeon Master focused on delivering cinematic, high-impact tabletop experiences through Dungeons & Dragons 5e. I’ve been playing D&D since I was seven years old, with over twenty years of experience both behind the screen and at the table. My campaigns focus on cinematic storytelling, meaningful player choices, and tactical combat. I run tension-driven campaigns where character decisions matter and the world reacts to the party’s actions. Players can expect immersive worldbuilding, memorable NPCs, and moments where strategy and roleplay come together to shape the story. My current projects are designed as connected modules within a larger trilogy, allowing player decisions to influence not only the immediate adventure but also the future of the setting itself. After extensive playtesting, these adventures will be refined and published. Over the years I’ve run games ranging from intimate one-player narrative campaigns to large open-world tables with over 30 players, giving me experience managing many different play styles and group dynamics. After years of running in-person games, I’m excited to bring those same cinematic experiences to the online table through virtual tabletops. If you enjoy story-driven adventures, impactful choices, and immersive worlds, you’ll feel right at home at my table.

Creating your character
Characters can be created before the first session of the game and discussed in the Discord channel. This helps ensure everyone fits naturally into the adventure and begins the campaign with shared context. Players will start at Level 3. Ability scores will be generated using the Standard Array, Point Buy, or rolled live on Roll20, depending on player preference. Characters can be created directly in Roll20 or imported if you already have a sheet prepared. You may also create your character on DnDBeyond and link the sheet once completed. Official material from the Player’s Handbook and other standard 5e sources is welcome. If you would like to use content from other books or homebrew material, just check with me first so we can make sure it fits the campaign. New players are absolutely welcome—I'm happy to help with character creation, rules questions, and building a character that fits both the adventure and your playstyle.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the session begins, players should complete the following steps: - Create a free account on Roll20 where the game will be hosted - Create a free account on Discord for voice chat and game communication - Join the Discord server and Roll20 game link that will be provided after booking - Ensure you have a working microphone and stable internet connection Character creation will take place before the actual game and help will be provided if needed. What Brayden brings to the table
As your Game Master, I focus on creating an immersive and memorable tabletop experience where player choices truly matter. You can expect a game that includes: • Custom maps, tokens, and handouts presented through Roll20 • Ambient music and atmosphere to help bring scenes to life • Distinct NPC personalities and character voices • Balanced tactical combat encounters that reward teamwork and creative thinking • Story-driven adventures where player decisions shape the direction of the campaign My style blends structured encounter design with cinematic storytelling. I aim to maintain strong pacing, dramatic tension, and moments of humor while ensuring the table remains collaborative and welcoming. While I respect the core rules of the game, I also embrace creative solutions and clever ideas from players. If a plan is imaginative and fits the moment, the Rule of Cool can absolutely shine. My goal is simple: to create an adventure where players feel immersed in the world, invested in their characters, and excited to see what happens next.
Homebrew rules
I allow players to drink potions as a bonus action. I have prepared d100 tables for critical hits and fumbles, for melee, ranged, and spell attacks.

How Brayden creates a safe table
I like to discuss Lines and Veils with each player individually in private before we begin. I also utilize the X, N, & O's while playing, players can message me privately with whichever card, no explanation needed. After the session I enjoy speaking with the players on how they feel about the session, crack jokes or have a laugh, and generally decompress together.
