Creating your character

⭐ For your character, you can either: • Bring your own D&D Beyond character sheet! [LEVEL 3]. Complex backstories are not needed for this adventure, their personality and general idea is enough. Full character creation rules and adventure details can be found here after you sign for the Adventure! 🧙 • Use one of my pre-generated characters for quick play! • SETTING: Characters in this adventure attend a Masquerade Ball hosted by a powerful noble, but behind the masks, something darker begins to unfold..

Preparing for the session

All communication and voice will be handled through Discord, and the game will run on Tabletop Simulator (on Steam). 🗺️ Please have your character sheet ready using D&D Beyond before the session! 📜 If anything is unclear, feel free to reach out! All you need to bring is your character, creativity, and a little curiosity ✨

Beginner friendly! I'm happy to help with rules or character questions before or during the game!

Homebrew rules

✨HOMEBREW / VARIANT RULES To enhance tension and cinematic gameplay on my table, I use these rules: • Death Saving Throws are rolled by the GM privately. • Drinking a potion yourself can be done as a Bonus Action but giving a potion to another character still requires an Action. • Exceptional Roleplay, creative ideas, or memorable character moments may earn Inspiration. • Critical hits deal maximum damage on one set of dice, plus the rolled damage of the second set.

How Katsyne creates a safe table

🛡️ SAFETY TOOLS My goal is to create a fun, immersive, and respectful table where everyone feels comfortable participating. Player comfort and safety are VERY important at my table. The following safety tools are used during this game: • Lines and Veils - Players can establish topics they do not want included in the game (Lines) or topics that should fade to black (Veils). • Consent Checklist – Used before the game to understand player comfort levels with various themes. • X-Card – Players may pause the game at any time if something becomes uncomfortable, no explanation required. • Aftercare – At the end of the session we take time to decompress, check in with players, and discuss the game.
