About me

I have been a GM for eight years. There is nothing I love more than building a world that pulls people in and won't let go. I have built worlds from the ground up, crafting the lore, the characters, the conflicts and the twists that make a story come alive. For me it's never just about rolling the dice. It is about creating an experience where players forget the real world for a few hours and fully inhabit another one. I weave stories that keep players guessing, invested, and eager for the next session. I am familiar with several TTRPG but most proficient with Dungeons and Dragons.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be relaxed. it's a one shot so your welcome to test out new characters you've had in the library. This adventure starts at level 1; there is not many features at this level. give your character a personality you feel comfortable playing! I recommend a shorter backstory that gives your character enough depths to live in the world.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

There are not too many requirements for this game. all you will need is - discord - a dnd beyond account - a way to interact and use the dnd beyond map (it's a click and drag system)

What DJ brings to the table

I will provide for this game - map (digital through dnd beyond) - music! (bots via discord) - voices! (My range is limited. I will do my best for my lovely players) be prepared for: - rule of cool. (the rules can always be bent for fun and immersion) - breaks! I encourage breaks for snacks and other necessities - combat. the numbers and dice help tell the story

Homebrew rules

homebrew rules I enjoy using - crits: if you roll a natural 20, take the highest damage you can get on that attack and then roll a normal damage dice. Add the two together for final damage - potions: drinking a potion is a bonus action.

Safety

How DJ creates a safe table

Very easy ways I use safety in my games - the X text: I will normally always have discord open, message me an X or another silent way and I will pause the game for a break. - shout it: don't be afraid to stop the game! if something is uncomfortable let me know. it can be fixed easy and fast. - session 0: I like to talk with each player before game day to get a list of any comfort levels.
