About the adventure
In this Level 9 DnD 5e Underdark adventure, the party will help save a village of Myconids known as Truffle Town from the fury of an ancient, cruel Forgemaster brought back to life after centuries... Why has he returned to his terrible tower of terror? Why are the rivers running with putrid, burning ichor? That is for you and your companions to find out, brave adventurer! ~*~ Whether you make a 2014 or 2024 ruleset character, even experienced players will be tested to their limits in my home-made, whimsical, yet deadly one shot set in a beautiful environment!

About me
Hi! I'm Natalie. I'm a big ol silly goose who loves to play DnD and DM for other silly gooses! I love to let people drive the story as much as I do and facilitate a safe space in which to have fun. Been a nerd forever, will be a nerd forever. I also happen to be a queer trans human and hope to make other queer, trans, and neurodivergent people feel safe and seen and able to express themselves through roleplay and exciting combat encounters with our DnD characters.

Creating your character
Character Creation Parameters: Level: 9 (2014 or 2024 are both okay) Ability Scores: Point Buy Hit Points: Average Origin Feats: Either pick a 2024 background with a Feat OR pick any non-feat background and add a Feat to have one for your origin. Equipment: Standard Equipment + 9 Points of Magic Items Content Sources: All Partnered Content is allowed & any official D&D Sources if for some reason I don't have it on D&D Beyond. DISABLE Homebrew. (2014, 2024, Expanded versions, Partnered Content, etc) Magic Items: 1 Point: Common (or standard piece of kit) 3 Points: Uncommon Note: Consumables = 1/2 point cost (for example, a common Potion of Healing would cost 1/2 point and an Uncommon Potion of Greater Healing would cost 1.5 points)

What DM Natalie brings to the table
* Lots of fun character customization options in D&D Beyond Campaign Content Sharing * Tactical, challenging combat * Engaging, immersive RP & Setting * Ambient sounds & Fun music * Voices of NPCs * Use of the rules as a solid backbone but emphasis on creativity to create a great narrative. I definitely lean in to rule of cool when it's the right moment for it, and let the dice decide!
Homebrew rules
* Crits: Roll damage, add modifiers, double the total result. * Once a session Athletics check to get 5 extra feet if your move is short. * Start with Heroic Inspiration

Safety
How DM Natalie creates a safe table
I keep all typically triggering content out of my games but for the sake of group safety I use X cards people can throw down anonymously and we'll check-in. We'll pause to make sure we understand what's problematic, and then take that to heart as we proceed. It's always safe to say you're uncomfortable.
