Hi there! My name is Alhena, and I'm a 24 year old Writer, Musician, and of course, TTRPG Enthusiast, who spends most of her spare time worldbuilding or reading! As your resident chaotic trans girl, I'm committed to contributing to creating safe spaces not only for LGBTQIA+ individuals, but for everyone, from any background! Creating your character
I love to discuss character creation during session 0, so that everyone has a general idea as to what other players are interested in playing and such. We'll be using the 2024 rules, though if you're looking to play anything that hasn't been upadated in the new rules, we can work it out! Additionally 3rd party content on D&D Beyond is likely okay to use, but I'd like to discuss it. We'll be starting at level 1, and using Point Buy for ability scores
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is discord, and a microphone, and a computer, as well as A D&D Beyond Account, and a Roll20 Account
What AStarInGemini brings to the table
I bring with me an array of Dungeons and Dragons content on D&D Beyond. Additionally, as I have a subscription to the Roll20 VTT, I can use fancier maps and ambient sounds and music for the games. While I tend to stick to most of the D&D rules, I'm often times a 'rule-of-cool' DM, meaning that I bend the rules sometimes to allow you to pull off your crazy ideas that are fun for everyone! I adore combat and mechanics, but am a huge fan of roleplay, and am always looking to create a character focussed narrative with plenty of oppirtunity for character development
Homebrew rules
Homebrew Rules will be discussed in session 0, but my typical homebrew rules are: - Flanking provides a +2 bonus to attack rolls - Death saves are rolled privately by the player, to the DM

How AStarInGemini creates a safe table
I use my Session 0s to help players establish the themes, allow people to meet and interact before jumping into the game, to and go over the expectations and wishes of everyone for the future games, going over Lines & Veils. The VTT I use has built in features to use X, N and O cards. These can be used to indicate when becomes uncomfortable. I also will have private channels on a discord server if ever anyone needs to message mid-session. Finally, I always put a minimum of one break into each of my sessions, but the frequency of breaks will be tailored to the needs of the players!
