How AStarInGemini runs games

I originally got into TTRPGs through One-Shot Dungeon Crawl style DnD games a local game shop, which very quickly got me into the ins and outs of complex and strategic combat. But through beginning to DM, I quickly became interested in intriguing narratives, roleplay, crafting stories together through integrating player character backstories into the story. What resulted was a Dynamic GM style with lots of player input, working together to challenge each other and build an incredible tale together! I'm very focussed on allowing players to have visible effects on the story and world

Spending a short moment to look up the rules. If no solution is found or we can't make a decision, I tend to make a ruling, move on, and revisit the issue after the session!

My games focus on...

Characters and Narrative. I LOVE character development, stories that challenge characters and test them. It wonderfully fuels narrative ion a way where everyone feels like they're creating a story together!

My tables tend to bounce between focus on the story, and having a laugh with friends! We have our serious moments, but this is a game. Its FUN. While my table is open to everyone (excluding bigots), my table tends to attract the underrepresented, which I LOVE. My tables tend to be filled with LGBTQIA+ Players, Neurodivergent Players, Disabled Players, and players from a variety of backgrounds around the globe, or, firm allies and supporters. I'm honored to have this space to make my tables Inclusive and Safe for everyone, and I take this commitment very seriously.
