About the adventure
You are trapped in the Mist of Barovia, and are guests of Strahd von Zarovich. An ancient vampire lord who rules with an iron fist. Strahd is always watching. Always plotting. Every move you make might be your last. Escape is a dream. Survival is a challenge. Victory is... unlikely. Explore a Gothic Nightmare: Haunted forests, ruined castles, and tragic villages. Every location bleeds dread—and hides secrets. This module is not for the feint of heart, there are some truly gruesome depictions in here. Having said that, I try to make it a fun experience. All skill levels are welcome, we are very friendly to beginners. As your DM, I’m looking forward to showing you my favorite module, edited with popular community home brew, and some tweaking of my own to give you the best possible experience. I am terrible at voices and accents but that will not stop me from doing them. I love adding in personal backstories to the game, engaging role play scenes, and I excel at making fun and challenging combat encounters. My name is Alex, and welcome to: The Curse of Strahd!

About me
I started DMing D&D a long time ago and have just recently picked back up a few years ago. Starting with local in person games and then moved into online TTRPGs. A big fan of D&D, DaggerHeart, Critical Role, Sneak Attack, Dungeon Dudes, Ginny Di, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Princess Bride, and Board Games of many types.

Creating your character
You can get started on your character by comming up with two or three ideas for different character concepts. Then we will create them during session zero. Alternatively there will be pre-generated characters available to you when you join the campaign if you prefer. We will be using the following Materials for creating characters: - PHB 2024 - Van Richtens Guid to Ravenloft - The Blood Hunter class from Critical Role - "Points Buy" for stat generation - "Fixed HP" for Hit Points - Try and make your background story something generic enough to bring you into Barovia. (ie. looking for a lost xxxxx..., Monster hunter..., Running away from xxx...)

What Alex brings to the table
This adventure will include: -Battle maps -Tokens -Character sheets -Access to all Rules -Music -Discord server Rule Set: We will follow the 2024 rules as written primarily. If you want to attempt something creative that is not covered in the rules I will do my best to come up with an appropriate skill check or such to make it happen. I do love to reward creativity. Assistance for beginners with getting started: We will be utilizing the base 2024 rule sets and options for character creation. There will be a wide range of pre-generated characters made for anyone who is feeling overwhelmed with the process. I can also guide and advise on any character you would like to create yourself. Tactical combat and perilous exploration: You'll need to work as a team and be creative to survive. Many traps and enemies await you and you will need to rely on each hero's strengths to overcome these obstacles. A narrative experience: I have always been more of a tactical DM and am still learning the intricacies to immersive story telling. My NPC voices are terrible but that does not stop me from doing them. Together we can make this an epic and unique adventure worthy of your story... or your death...
