About the adventure

This is a game that's open to anyone, regardless of experience level. My DM style tends to favor gameplay over narrative for its own sake, but I am more than willing and capable of accommodating more story-focused players. Dragonlance is a fairly linear module, but there is always room for a side scene or character arc if so desired. What the game ends up looking like in the end depends almost entirely on the group makeup. I highly encourage character creation to be delayed until we can get to know each other and the setting as a group. It's a multiplayer game after all, and if you do your best to incorporate yourself into the larger world it does wonders for world building and gameplay alike.

About me

Hi! I'm a semi-experienced DM for 5e D&D (2014 edition) and a budding Pathfinder 2e player looking to spread my love of ttrpgs with as many people as possible.

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll create characters together during Session 0. I won't charge for Session 0, so feel free to attend and decide whether or not you want to continue with the game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

DM me @shaken_thesaurus on Discord with your interest and I'll make a server. Also please join the dndbeyond game through this link: https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/7674920663136827

What Leo brings to the table

I'll provide battlemaps, attempted npc voices, and ample opportunities for players to talk among themselves. I do my best to follow RAW, but I'm only human so feel free to correct me. For the sake of the game, however, I do retain the final say.

Homebrew rules

1) You can drink a potion as a bonus action, but administering one to an ally is still a full action. 2) A natural 20 is a critical success not only for attack rolls, but also skill checks. However, a natural 20 does not necessarily mean success. It means that the best possible scenario plays out. You don't get to take a kingdom away with a natural 20 in persuasion, for example.

Safety

How Leo creates a safe table

During Session 0 I'll ask everyone for lines and veils. A line is something that's a dealbreaker to include in the game, and a veil is something that's okay but only if it's alluded to. I also have an open door policy, so if you feel uncomfortable at any point please reach out to me privately and I will arrange for you to step back, temporarily or if needed, permanently. I also schedule a break for about the halfway mark of each session to decompress in case anything has become too intense for a player.
