About the adventure

This campaign takes place in the Forgotten Realms and centers around the party attempting to thwart a wicked plot to transport the city of Baldur's Gate to Avernus, the first layer of the nine Hells. It will take more than just combat skills to undermine these evil plans. This campaign will fit best for beginner to intermediate players who enjoy a balance of role play and combat, as well as brain teasing puzzles and mystery solving.

About me

To me, D&D is more than just a hobby. I treat it as a lifestyle and my favorite thing about it is how it creates deep, long lasting bonds and meaningful connections with others. Storytelling is one of my favorite ways to express myself and I love sharing that with others

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will begin in session 0. I use a homebrew roll for stats strategy that is meant to set players up for success while maintaining a balanced challenge

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should have a D&D Beyond account and a Discord account

What Brandon brings to the table

I bring descriptive settings and combat, character voices, a balance between rule of cool and rules as written, and aspiration to maximize immersion

Homebrew rules

Critical damage is calculated as normal damage plus modifiers, doubled. i.e, if your weapon does 2d6+2 damage, it will be calculated as 2(2d6+2) as opposed to 4d6+2 On a critical hit, I will be rolling a d20, and on a 20, I will roll a d4. On an odd number, the recipient of the damage will be disarmed.
