About the adventure
This is a great game for fans of Baldur’s Gate 3, even if you’re new to tabletop gaming. Demons are invading the Underdark, and only you can stop them. You are a new member of the Society of Brilliance sent on a mission to investigate the disturbances happening in the Underdark, in particular around the enormous subterranian lake in the center. Famous cities surround the lake, and all of them prove to be in danger if this demonic threat comes to fruition… what will you discover? And what does this mean for the future of the Underdark?

About me
Well met! I’m an huge fan of the Forgotten Realms and thrilled to breathe life into the setting and characters for you to explore and adventure within. Playing Baldur’s Gate 3 led me to falling in love with the world of Faerûn, and I’ve been having a wonderful time creating wild and exciting stories for players in that fantastic realm. I enjoy inhabiting the realm’s characters and giving players a backdrop to explore their own character’s backstory and connections to the world. I’m happy to take you on an adventure you’ll never forget, with a gorgeous Virtual Tabletop, exciting combat, and memorable RP! Let’s go! 👀

What Cy brings to the table
Players have mentioned the following about my games: ✨ Visuals. I use Foundry and put a lot of effort into making maps and tokens for encounters, so you can easily visualize what’s going on. Scenes have ambient music and oftentimes animated effects. I enjoy that video game-esque feel with my setup. 🎭 Roleplay opportunities. Players love that we get small downtime moments during the session where they can interact with each other and NPCs. Long rests are the perfect time for this. If players are roleplaying with each other without me having to speak, I see that as a huge star! Fair shares of loot. I carefully follow the DMG loot tables to make sure each enemy drops an appropriate amount of loot, and I aim to use the hoard table at least once per session. 💸 Shops. Players like that I design dedicated shops where they can spend gold, with a buy and sell interface for buying new items and selling loot they’ve earned. ⚔️ At least one combat per session, where tactical thinking is often rewarded. I like setting up some combat encounters where players’ builds get to shine (the “they’re in fireball formation!” encounter). Other encounters reward strategy and offer unique challenges. I don’t begrudge skilled and tactical players or spellcasters; system mastery is very welcome. 📚 Lore focus. I really love the lore of these worlds and will rewrite scenes or chapters to better fit the lore (like virtually everything in Vecna: Eve of Ruin, lol). This is invisible if you’re not familiar with the lore, but noticeable if you are! 💎 Custom magic items. I really enjoy making and designing items that grow with the players, which complement their play style, goals, and skill sets. 🎲 Huge library of materials. I have a ton of sourcebooks on DnDBeyond to build with, virtually all the official material and a whole bunch of favorite 3rd party material too. I love seeing folks come up with unique interactions between the 3rd party materials. 🎯 I like the Rules as Written and tend to stick to them. They are our scaffolding for how we interact with the game world and provide us structure for what we can do in the course of the game.
Homebrew rules
🧪 Drink a healing potion as an action to gain the full effect, or as a bonus action to roll for effect 🧨 Explosive Crits give you max damage on your first damage roll, then you roll the extra dice and add them as usual ⚡️ Flanking is permitted. You must be opposite the enemy to receive flanking bonus, which gives you advantage.
