Learn to play Daggerheart in this Quickstart Adventure! You and your companions have been tasked with delivering an important package to an Arcanist located in the village of Hush. But to get there you must travel deep into the forest where beasts, thieves, and unknown dangers await. You can choose a premade character or build your very own as I introduce you to the game of Daggerheart where narrative storytelling and collaboration is celebrated! About me

I'm Chap, the Dungeon Master Dad. And yes, I am truly a dad and I love running adventures for players of all skill levels. My number one rule is: TTRPGs are a safe space. This is a place where you can be whoever you want and explore your imagination. There is no room for hate or discrimination at my table. I want my players to experience joy, freedom, laughter, and acceptance. As for my experience, I'm just starting out as a professional GM, but I've been running games for friends for more than three years. I'm most familiar with D&D 5e and 5e 2024, but I've also started to learn Daggerheart. My games are highly inspired by my love of fantasy, comics, science fiction, and Critical Role, as well as my time growing up in the 80s and 90s and my Filipino-American heritage. Having worked in book publishing and film, developing stories and rich characters is probably my deepest passion. And I love taking the characters and backstories my players create and working together to weave a fun, emotional, and thrilling tale. If all this seems cool with you then let's play.

Character creation

Creating your character

Once you've joined the game, you'll be able to sign up to my campaign on Demiplane and Roll20 where I can share the core rules with you. You can either pick one of the premade characters or peruse the core rules to see if you want to build your own. We are starting at level 1 and only using the core classes and ancestries. If you are brand new to TTRPGs, I'd suggest picking a premade character to start, but if you do wish to build your own character, definitely take a look at the rules prior to the session to have a general sense of what you want to play and what options you'd like to pick. We can then build your character in Demiplane at the start of the session and import them into Roll20. I'm happy to answer any DM's via Discord before the session.
