About the adventure

Welcome to Terra Velum! Many years ago, the great wizard Merlin, consumed by grief following the death of King Arthur, erected a magical veil that would keep Earth entirely separate from Magic forever. Fast forward to the modern day, the Veil has thinned and is now harnessed by those on both sides for good and for ill. In order to use magic in Terra Velum, you have to have a connection with someone else to focus the Veil through. This campaign involves playing as two characters at once. One character is a Letter, someone on Earth who has a soul-bond with a character in a fantasy world known as Terra Velum. The other character will be a fully-functioning NPC that your character will posses in order to tackle challenges in the other world and is the character you'll be building using the Fabula Ultima rules. But be warned: as the bond with your other half grows, they may begin possessing you in turn and granting you abilities in your day-to-day life as well. The actual plot of the campaign involves using knowledge gained in Terra Velum to solve crimes and problems on Earth, as not all Letters are as well-intentioned as our intrepid young heroes.

About me

Heya folks! My name's Cody, but you may see me as Varod around the internet. I started playing DnD in highschool; around twelve years ago. My time in the medium was spent mostly as a player until I started DMing for Curse of Strahd campaign a couple years ago. I was a 3.5 purist for a long time, but I got on board with 5e really fast. I'm a stay at home dad, so expect to see a very cute baby from time to time. I've got about a year of experience with Pathfinder 2e and it's quickly becoming my favorite system. I love to write, it's my passion, and I've done collaborative writing with my friends for over a decade. If I'm your DM, I can guarantee you that we'll tell a great story together. Nowadays I stream a Legend of Zelda pathfinder game over on my Twitch and produce/play on a 5e AP called Roll More; both of those are great ways to check out my vibe before you book me. Oh, yeah, and I have an unhealthy obsession with pirates. I WILL wear a pirate hat for our session, if you wish. I look forward to playing with you!
