About the adventure
A remote asteroid mining facility has gone dark after uncovering a massive deposit of rare conductive gemstones. Your crew is sent in to investigate, recover what remains, and—if possible—bring the station back online. But once you arrive, it becomes clear this is no simple salvage job. Power is failing, life support is compromised, and something inside the facility has turned the station into a death trap. This is a sci-fi horror / survival mystery mini-campaign built for players who enjoy tense exploration, dangerous encounters, environmental storytelling, and meaningful choices. Over the course of the adventure, you’ll work to restore critical systems like power, life support, and command functions while uncovering what happened to the crew and deciding how much risk you’re willing to take for what may still be hidden inside. This game is designed as a short-run campaign (approximately 6–10 sessions), making it perfect for players who want a complete, high-stakes story without a long-term commitment. You’ll get the satisfaction of a full campaign arc—mystery, escalation, discovery, and hard endgame decisions—without needing to lock into a year-long game. New players are absolutely welcome. If you’re newer to tabletop RPGs or sci-fi horror games, I’m happy to help you get comfortable and learn as we play. Veterans should still find plenty to sink their teeth into. What to Expect Sci-fi horror and survival tension Investigation and mystery-solving Exploration of a derelict industrial facility Restoring systems to reclaim the station Dangerous enemies and environmental hazards Meaningful player choice and risk vs reward decisions Tone & Inspirations Think: Dead Space, Alien, Event Horizon, and The Thing—with a strong focus on player agency, problem-solving, and unraveling the truth behind the disaster. (Sorry, I'm a child of the 80's) If you enjoy atmospheric sci-fi, escalating tension, and meaningful choices under pressure, this adventure is built for you.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! I’m Christian—Game Master, worldbuilder, and lifelong tabletop RPG enthusiast with over 30 years of experience behind the screen. Like many of us, I started with Dungeons & Dragons, but over the years my passion for deep worldbuilding, custom monsters, and immersive storytelling led me to Pathfinder 2E and the creation of my own fantasy setting, Chondara—a world I’ve been developing and refining for more than two decades. My goal as a GM is simple: create memorable adventures where players feel like their choices truly matter. I run games that blend tactical combat, rich storytelling, and player-driven decision making. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or brand new to Pathfinder, I focus on making sure every player feels comfortable, engaged, and excited to return for the next session. Outside the table, I’m also the creator behind Beast Foundry, where I design and publish Pathfinder supplements including new ancestries, spells, monsters, and mechanics. Many of my games feature original content and adventures developed through years of running campaigns and refining ideas at the table. If you're looking for a game that combines strong storytelling, meaningful player agency, and well-prepared sessions, you’ll feel right at home here. Let’s roll some dice and build an unforgettable adventure together. Check me out on this youtube link: https://youtu.be/ddqm8ZeozpM

Creating your character
Characters should be creating 1st level characters using only Starfinder 2e material. You’re welcome to build and track your character however you prefer, whether that’s an app, character builder, PDF, Google Doc, or pen and paper. Please come to Session 1 with your character ready to play. If you need help with character creation, rules questions, or want to bounce ideas around beforehand, I’m happy to help in the Discord before the game starts. Characters should fit the tone of the adventure: a crew sent to investigate a failed asteroid mining operation. Concepts that can reasonably function as part of a mission team will work best.

What Christian Chaney brings to the table
What I Bring to the Table I run my games using TaleSpire, a fully 3D virtual tabletop that enhances combat, exploration, and atmosphere. If you’ve never used it before, the free Guest Edition on Steam makes it easy to join. Here’s what you can expect: Immersive 3D Environments Every battlefield, settlement, and encounter is built to support tactical clarity and visual immersion. A Cohesive World Blackstone Mining Corp takes place on an isolated asteroid. Detailed maps and setting material help ground your character’s actions in a living, reactive world. Organized Communication Discord is used for voice chat, scheduling, character coordination, and between-session updates to keep the campaign moving smoothly. Flexible Character Tools You’re free to use Pathbuilder (Starbuilder?) or any preferred character sheet system. I support what helps you play efficiently. Prepared, Intentional Sessions I bring decades of GM experience, a strong grasp of Starfinder 2e, and carefully constructed encounters designed to challenge without overwhelming. Sessions are paced, purposeful, and responsive to player choice. Whether you’re here for tactical combat, immersive storytelling, or long-term character development, you can expect a well-run and engaging table.

How Christian Chaney creates a safe table
Blackstone Mining Corp is a dark, high-stakes mini campaign. Danger is real, and choices have weight. But player comfort always comes first. Before Session One, we’ll align on tone and expectations through Discord discussion. We’ll cover: • Desired tone balance (grim, intense, lighter moments, etc.) • Themes or topics anyone prefers to avoid • Expectations around cooperation and spotlight sharing • Boundaries regarding horror elements This campaign includes undead horror, organized violence, and moral tension — but it is not built on shock value. I do not force uncomfortable content for dramatic effect. If something crosses a line, it can be adjusted without derailing the story. We will use simple, clear communication tools: • Direct message or voice interruption at any time • Open-door policy for stepping away • After-session check-ins if needed You are never required to justify your comfort level. At the same time, this is a cooperative game. Respect for fellow players is non-negotiable. Your fun should never come at someone else’s expense. In decades of running games, my priorities remain consistent: A challenging world. A fair table. A story everyone is excited to continue.
