About me

I've been playing and GMing for over 30 years now, with my first introduction to roleplaying being my mum GMing for my brother, dad and I during the summer holidays. We had been given the Basic D&D Red and Blue boxed sets for Xmas and hadn't gotten around to reading them yet, but the funny Cockney voice mum did for a captured Kobold we were interrogating it sealed the deal! "Aw 'Govnor, please don't 'urt me. Oi'll tell you everyfink!" I went on to GM for a group of friends during lunch times at High School, then played and GM'd at Glasgow University Gaming Society (GUGS) in the late '90's, helped to form Hursley Gaming Society (HuGS) at IBM in the early 2000's, and so on. I generally do D&D or fantasy of some sort, and have played or GM'd a wide variety of rules systems and genres including WHFRP, Call of Chthulu, Changeling, Alien, d20 Modern, Star Wars (d6 and d20 rules), Blades in the Dark, GURPS, TORG, BESM, Golden Heroes, and many more.

What Martin / Moo brings to the table

I hope to provide an enjoyable experience for all my players. Play should be fun and relaxed, and also enable everyone to help the group to progress the story. I use a mixture of descriptions, artwork and maps to help you fully visualize what is going on in the world. I try to follow the D&D rules, as I find it provides a nice structure and balance for players to know what to expect and what is possible, however it's not strictly enforced if the situation calls for it.
