About the adventure

The Heroes of Prophecy... failed. Now, they must navigate a world in turmoil where political interests and historical conflicts risk breaking the flimsy peace they were gathered to secure while some ancient force starts to gain power, extending a shadow that looms over the continents. In a world where magitech engineers compete with age-old magical knowledge and blood money tries to trample over ancient traditions, friends seem to be few and far between, but whith their strengths having been proven to be not enough, they must now find and forge allies to stand against the looming threat - and maybe topple an empire or two in the process. As you stand against the looming darkness, who will be your allies? Who will stand beside you to forge a world worth fighting for?

About me

Hi, my name is André, I’m 36 and I’ve been a DM for over 20 years. Fifteen years ago I started doing professional DM work locally on the side while also being a teacher, being hired by a local publisher from my country to DM on events to showcase their games. One of my biggest accomplishments on this front was a partnership with the Culture Department of our city to have a permanent weekly Game Point open to the public where we ran multiple games. Deciding to make Pro DMing a ‘full time job’, taking to professionally DMing online was a natural next step, and I've been doing so for the past five years, managing to gather quite a good community of players organically through the forums and groups I was a part of, as well as word of mouth. I've discovered Start Playing Games somewhat recently, and joined a couple games, talked to a couple of DMs and decided to start taking my Pro DM games here, so here I am.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will create the characters together on Session 0. In case of players joining after session 0, I will try to schedule a time to help them through it, if that's not possible, I will send them what materials they may need.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to have an account on Discord and join my server (which can be done through this link: https://discord.gg/AMeKnPPwyq ) You will also need to set up a free account on The Forge, which is the website where I host my Foundry games (The Forge will prompt you to create a free account once you try to access the game invite link, which will be available on the Discord)

What André brings to the table

I am a GM that abides by the Rule of Cool. I will respect the rules of the system whenever appropriate, but Fabula Ultima itself it already well set to have its rules be adjustable. I will give the world as much depth and and lore as possible and will bring to life the stories you set for the world and your character. This will not just be a story in which your character takes part. This will be YOUR story.

Homebrew rules

I will abide by what choice of optional rules the players prefer as established on Session 0 - and I will explain what each of them entail.

Safety

How André creates a safe table

We will have a thorough Session 0 where we will stablish many tools for conflict resolution, establishing lines and veils as well as how to manage characters when players have to skip a session. After the game we will have a debrief as a group - Probably through the Stars and Wishes models, thou if the group prefers a different approach, I am happy to abide. I will mention as well that my DMs are always open to help players with whatever they may need (as long as it's within my power to help)
