About the adventure
Favorite fantasy worlds is a way to create one-shots and campaigns that truly feel like your own. To do so, I will ask you two simple questions that will allow you to contribute to the creation of our personal setting. First: What is your favorite fantasy world? It could be anything—from Star Wars to The Lion King. It might be something easily identifiable and relatable, or very underground and hidden. I, as the DM, will do my research and include something about that world that you like. For example, if Star Wars and The Lion King were crossed over, I might tell a story about the death of the king at the hand of his own son, who was in fact being manipulated by a small group of wise men able to control a mystical force that binds all. Cool, right? After we define each player’s favorite world, I, the DM, present a premise, a hook, a main plot that provides enough substance to start a main quest. Then, we create. Each player has the right to design as much or as little as they want about their starting place. It could be a small village high in the mountains that survives on goat herding, where the player character is the son of the leader. Or it could be a huge port city, full of nightlife and commerce, where the player character has just joined the Thieves’ Guild after a life on the streets. You name it—there are no limits to your creativity. Finally, we all agree on a starting point, set some boundaries and safety tools, and live epic adventures in our favorite fantasy worlds. Feel free to ask any questions. Session zero is free of charge and will be used for character creation, world-building, and setting the tone of the game.

About me
I'm a D&D and TTRPG enthusiast with around 10 years of experience running tables, both long term campaigns and casual one shots. Being from Chile, a South American country, my first and main language is Spanish, but I'm fluent in English as well and more than willing to narrate on either language.

Creating your character
Depending on the premise and tone, we can define the starting level of player characters. For a one-shot that might evolve into a campaign, I recommend starting at level 3, but this should be agreed upon during session zero. I allow rolling for ability scores, choosing the standard array, or using point buy. I allow the use of all official Wizards of the Coast material—books, classes, and spells. I allow feats and multiclassing. There is also the possibility of creating custom classes, spells, or items. These must be checked by me, and we can work on them together if you like. Depending on the starting level, characters should have some extra gold and items. For example, level 3 characters start with around 100 gold and an uncommon magic item. This may vary depending on the tone of the world we define, but you get the idea. Characters can be crafted using either the 2014 or 2024 rules.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I run my games on Roll20, so you’ll need an account there. A free account works just fine. We’ll use Discord for voice communication, and if everyone agrees, we can also use webcams to see each other roleplay. This helps telegraph when someone is about to speak and makes it easier to understand the intention behind speech—but webcams are not mandatory.
What Alberto "Copro" Saldías brings to the table
I provide the full VTT experience, with interactive maps, dynamic lighting, and full-color art for every monster, object, and NPC. I set the tone with environmental music that matches the scene and vibe of what we’re playing. I also voice my NPCs, so you can feel comfortable roleplaying your character. Finally, I offer full support for any ideas or questions you might have—even outside of session time.
Homebrew rules
In general, I use the 2014 ruleset with some additions from 2024: Drinking a potion counts as a bonus action. Exhaustion applies as a –1 penalty to everything, instead of each level having different effects. You can expend one spell slot per turn, rather than being limited to “a bonus action leveled spell and an action cantrip.”

How Alberto "Copro" Saldías creates a safe table
In session zero, we talk about the tone and expectations of the fictional world. Together, we build a list of Lines and Veils, which will serve as our foundation for play. During the session, we use the X-Card safety tool, which works like an emergency brake to stop the game if something goes wrong. We can also take a break midway through the session, so no one feels overwhelmed by the weight of the fictional world.
