About the adventure

If you love to immerse yourself in a world full of rich characters, get challenged in meaningful combat, and love a mix of adventurous exploration, emotional social interactions and engaging combat, you'll love this campaign and my DM style. Experience level doesn't matter: - New players will be catered to, and there are several added modules to ease you into some core mechanics. - Veteran players will be challenged with strategic combat, socially complicated encounters, meaningful exploration and optional extensions to the core mechanics (custom crafting system, weather system, lingering injuries, ...), so it feels fresh and exciting.

About me

Hey, I'm The WWWeaver, or just Tom. I've been a DM for more than 20 years for Call of Cthulhu, and the last 5 years switched mostly to Dungeons and Dragons. I have (co-)written several campaign books, and I love to present my D&D players with a mix of the 3 pillars; social, exploration and combat. I weave homebrew into official settings, and tie it all together with the strings of backstories. I have a background in the movie and audio industry, and more recently game development. I've been a story writer and teller for as long as I can remember, and it's such a joy to create epic movie experiences with my players. I love working with new players to see them experience this world of amazement, but also cater to experienced players with tons of homebrew systems (crafting, injuries, weather, organizations, ...) that can always be added to games depending on the passions and interests of the players.

Character creation

Creating your character

You can bring a character (to be vetted by the DM), discuss ideas before we start, request a character to be made for you, or wait until session 0 to throw some ideas around in the group and then we take it from there.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

- Discord acount (audio, optionally video) - Roll20 account as vtt - optionally: I stream music on a separate streaming website (custom built). Best experience is with VLC player if you want to listen (so have that installed)

What The WWWeaver brings to the table

* Very rich world, there are dozens of rich npcs I've plugged into the world. Whether they become your greatest friends, rivals, lovers, nemesis, ... is up to you * I tie in elements of you backstories into the campaign setting and encounters, so everything feels relevant and connected, even outside the actual campaign book * The campaign will adapt itself to your playing styles and preferences

Homebrew rules

discussed in session 0. I have a whole list that tweaks for more flexibility, more challenge, more choice, ... whatever a group wants.

Safety

How The WWWeaver creates a safe table

I always have a structured, extensive session 0 where we will also cover all safety tools. Without creating too much overhead of filling in forms (like a lines and veils document) we just discuss it, and people can speak up, send their concerns anonymously before the campaign or at any moment (for which I often use the X and N 'cards', which is just a quick private message with e.g. 'X' to me, and I'll immediately switch around the game and will check in after the session with you).
