About the adventure

At the center of the world sits a vast island, carved by narrow straits that every ship, every army, every fortune must pass through. This is Ancastria. If you wish to trade, you come here. If you wish to travel, you pass through here. If you wish to matter, you are measured here. It is a place where a desert warlord can drink beside a frostbound chieftain, where coin speaks louder than blood. And yet, for all its wealth, Ancastria is afraid.  Because in exactly one year, the world is meant to end. The prophecy of Saint Abaddon, delivered by the Sun Goddess Ah’Lane, speaks of a forgotten sin. A far away world long ago cast out the gods during the war of divinity and ushered in the age of mortals. Now, four thousand years later, the gods are said to return, not as saviors, but as judges. On the final day of Abaddon’s calendar, it is told that the heavens will open and the gods come with vengeance against the mortals who banished them and this time, no world will be spared. For decades, the world of Aethra has held its breath as Abaddon's Calender reaches it's end. Wars have slowed. Kingdoms hesitate. Entire cultures and peoples turn inward, clinging to faith, or abandoning it entirely. In the wilds beyond Ancastria, nomadic tribes perform ancient rites long forgotten, while others reject the gods outright, daring them to come. Setting Tone Aethra is a world of contrast, where grounded, classical life exists alongside pockets of strange and undeniable wonder. For most people, life is harsh and practical. Steel, trade, and survival shape the day-to-day, and magic is rare enough to be feared, misunderstood, or treated as divine omen rather than a tool. Yet beyond the familiar, the world begins to shift. Vast badlands stretch across the horizon, filled with the ruins of forgotten civilizations. Endless deserts shimmer with unnatural heat and wandering mirages that seem almost deliberate. Across storm-lashed seas, sprawling archipelagoes host drifting islands and cultures shaped by isolation. In the deep swamps, bioluminescent light pulses through the night. In certain places, the rules of the world feel thinner. Floating landmasses hang silently in the sky. Places where time seems to stop and magic begins to behave in stranger and stranger ways. Other details -> Homebrew rules, monsters, items and world. -> Challenging combat which rewards positioning and wit. -> A reactive world that changes based on your decisions. -> A GM who allows players to step out of the boundaries

About me

Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed with my own imagination and the imagination of others. Imagination is a place where you can take a break from everything for a bit and pretend to be somewhere, someone, something else. I was always creating new worlds or expanding ones I had already created in my head. Soon the closet was stockpiled with cheap note book paper adorned with my doodles, drawings, maps and ideas. Now as an adult, I continue that trend.. just a bit less messy. About three years ago I finally gave DnD a try and immediately started as a DM, building a new and expansive homebrew world with my players as we all learned along the way. Now that world is a 500+ page PDF with still more to go. My obsession with world building clearly knows no bounds and I would love to share either my world or a world created by another (As I said, I also love to explore the imaginations of other people!) with a as many people as I can. <3

• Have discord ready to go. • Make sure you have a computer with either MacOS or Windows 10/11. This is required for use with the VTT. • Make sure you have a stable internet connection. • I require my players have a decent microphone and have their settings tuned as to not cause background noise and to sound clear so that everyone knows what you are saying.
