About the adventure
A quiet hamlet sits under the pale glow of the moon… but something isn’t right. In the village of Graymoor, a string of brutal murders has left the townsfolk shaken and afraid to leave their homes after dark. Whispers of a beast lurking in the night spread from door to door, and with no clear answers, the village is desperate for help. That’s where you come in. As outsiders stepping into a growing mystery, you’ll gather clues, question uneasy villagers, and uncover secrets that may be more dangerous than the creature itself. This one-shot adventure is a blend of investigation, roleplay, and tense encounters. Players will have the freedom to explore, follow leads, and decide how they want to approach the mystery—whether through careful deduction, bold action, or a bit of both. Your choices will shape how the story unfolds and ultimately determine whether you’re prepared to face what’s waiting in the dark. This game is great for both new and experienced players. If you’re new to Dungeons & Dragons, I’ll guide you through everything you need to know so you can jump in and enjoy the story without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re a seasoned player, expect a focused, story-driven experience with room for creativity and character moments. When the moon rises over Graymoor… will you uncover the truth, or become part of the legend?

About me
I’m Albert Lee, a Game Master based out of Greenville, North Carolina, with a little over five years of experience running tabletop games. I’ve spent most of that time both GM-ing and as a player in small group settings, running a mix of homebrew, campaigns and one-shot adventures. I enjoy building worlds, crafting memorable moments, and building stories that players feel connected to. My goal at the session is simple. Creating an experience where every player feels welcome and part of the story. Whether you're brand new to tabletop games or a expereinced player, I enjoy helping people step into the narrative and find their place in the adventure. I’m also always open to learning and exploring new systems of play, because every system brings new ways to tell great stories together. When I’m not behind the GM screen, I run my small photography business where I capture life’s moments worth remembering.

Creating your character
Character creation is flexible and designed to support both new and experienced players. For newer players, we’ll go through the full character creation process together during Session Zero. I’ll walk you step by step through everything, from choosing a class and race to understanding your abilities, so you can feel confident and ready to play. If you’re comfortable creating your character on your own, you’re more than welcome to do so before the session. All characters should be created at Level 2 using the Player’s Handbook as the primary source. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to look it over with you. The goal is to make sure every character fits the setting and that you feel comfortable playing them, whether you’re brand new or experienced.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Getting set up for the game is simple, and I try to keep things as easy as possible, especially for new players. Before the session, you’ll just need a Discord account set up and ready to go, as that’s where we’ll handle voice communication and any game coordination. I’ll provide any links or invites ahead of time so you can join without any issue. For gameplay, I recommend having a few basic items on hand: A quiet space where you can focus and communicate clearly Something to take notes with (notebook or digital notes) Dice (physical or digital—both are welcome) Your character sheet (I can help you create this if needed) If we’re using any additional tools (such as a virtual tabletop), I’ll make sure everything is explained ahead of time and easy to access, no prior experience required. Most importantly, come ready to have fun, participate, and be part of the story!
What Albert Lee (GM) brings to the table
My table is built around a relaxed, welcoming, and easygoing playstyle. The goal is to create a space where players can enjoy the game without pressure, whether that means learning the basics, getting into character, or just having a good time with a great group. I’m very new-player friendly, so if you’ve never played before, you’ll be right at home here. I’m happy to guide you, answer questions, and help you feel comfortable as you learn. No one is expected to know everything, we’re here to learn and enjoy the experience together. The overall vibe at my table is respectful, collaborative, and family-friendly. Players who enjoy working as a team, supporting each other, and contributing to a positive group dynamic will fit in really well. Whether you love roleplay, problem-solving, or just being part of the story, there’s a place for you here. If you’re looking for a table that values fun, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere over rules-lawyering or hyper-competitive play, you’ll feel right at home.

How Albert Lee (GM) creates a safe table
One tool I rely on heavily is my Session Zero and pre-game discussions. These create a dedicated time and space for players to share their thoughts, expectations, and any concerns before the game begins. It helps ensure everyone is on the same page and comfortable with the direction of the campaign. During the game itself, I also make use of scheduled breaks when needed. Mid-session breaks give players an opportunity to step away, check in with each other, or bring up anything they may want to discuss. This helps keep communication open and ensures the table remains a comfortable and positive space for everyone.
