About me
Gather round the table. Let's tell some stories. I'm Jack, and I run light-hearted games where we spin an awesome yarn with the fickle help of the dice. I started GMing for family a few years ago and caught the collaborative storytelling bug. I believe TTRPGs are for everyone and love running fun and accessible games for people of all ages. As a creative writer (MA, BA) with some published short fiction and poetry, I'm itching to meet your characters and weave their stories into the adventure. I also love using my amateur dramatics experience to bring NPCs to life! I have several years experience adapting / writing and running roleplaying games for new and returning players, including neurodiverse players and younger players. Creating your character
Create a level 1 character in DnD beyond, or choose a ready-made one! Some adventures in this series reveal a fact about the characters at the start of the session. It could be the species, background, situation, or something else entirely! Check the party notes below for more details. I recommend Standard Array or Point Buy methods for stat generation. Any official 5e compatible content on DnD is permitted. If you've any other questions about the game, feel free to drop me a message.
No restrictions for this one - build any character with the guidelines above. You're hired to rescue a beautiful princess trapped at the top of the tower and guarded by a vicious beast... All proceeds to Fòs Feminista Charity Event :)
What to expect

What Jack of Dice brings to the table
Character Creation Support Campaign Discord Chat D&D Beyond campaign integration Music and Ambience I run D&D as an accessible and collaborative storytelling experience where your ideas and actions shape the way the game progresses. I use the 2014 5e rules and like to flex the game rules to allow story awesome moments. I'll use my amateur dramatics experience to bring non-player characters to life. If you love stories, characters and exploring a world this is the game for you! Deep combat or dungeon crawling are less of a focus for my adventures.
Homebrew rules
Modified Critical Hits (Perkins Crit) Privately rolled death saves This isn't an exhaustive list - I like playing with the Rule of Cool, sometimes make one-off rules changes if it makes a good story!
