About the adventure
"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." In the great and ancient city of Kudugu, the Pantheon plays games with the lives or mortals, and the ruler-priests of the city hunt people like you. The city pushes back the wilds, ignorant of the ramifications. But as bad as things are, they are about to get a hell of a lot worse. Defy the Gods is a "queer sword and sorcery" game that centers on being outsiders in a world control by powers far above you, and fighting back against those who would see you crushed. The Powers That Be (the gods, the city, life itself) want to see you powerless and submissive, show them that you are not so easily cowed. In this campaign, you will journey through the city and the wilds, deep into the ruins of Atlantis, and to Hell and back. Explore an original fantasy world as unique and interesting characters, and forge connections strong enough to Defy the Gods.

Hello lovely people, my name is Rowan (none/they); professional writer, educator, and GM with over a dozen years of experience across a variety of systems and genres. Creating your character
We will make characters together during session 0, though you are encouraged to discuss your character concept in the discord beforehand. There are only six playbooks, so we will discuss who will play which one during session 0, and I recommend coming with several possible ideas.
