About the adventure

This Delta Green campaign is designed for both new and experienced players. The Agents are placed in E-Cell, part of the Outlaws, who are the unsanctioned branch of Delta Green. This cell will recently wiped out during a mission and need its ranked refilled. E-Cell reports to D-Cell, and a man named Agent Daring. He was tasked with recruiting the players agents and setting them to work on the initial mission of our Campaign, Last Things Last.

Meet the Game Master

Less than a year on StartPlaying

About me

I have been a Game Master for 10+ years. I fell in love with TTRPG's in college when my friends wanted to play Pathfinder 1E and they needed a game master and I volunteered. I always preferred being the game master because I love weaving together stories, enjoy the challenge of keeping players engaged and wanting more, and bringing characters and settings to life. I primarily play Delta Green at this time but have years of experience with Pathfinder 1E, 2E and DnD 5E.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will start with a free session 0 where can introduce players and their characters, and I can offer help to anyone who is struggling to create their characters. The bones and concept of the character should be created prior to session 0 and should follow the general guidelines below. Characters should be new agents to Delta Green and should be located in the continental united states, but they can originate from anywhere in the world. We will create agents using the "Assign Stats" method found on page 15 of the Agents Handbook. (I am open to rolling stats, but all rolls must be public on roll20.) Agents can be from any background, every single background will be helpful in this campaign. Note for new players: common skill choices that will improve your experience as a player are: Alertness, Search, and at least one or two combat skills: i.e. Firearms, Melee Weapons, Unarmed Combat, etc. A more detailed breakdown of all skills can be found starting on page 30 of the Agents Handbook.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should create the following accounts: Discord - This will be where we chat and where I will post notes and information about the game. Roll20 - This will be our Virtual Table Top (VTT) Google Account - We will use google sheets and other google apps for keeping track of notes, loot and our Lines and Veils.

What Sean brings to the table

I like to use audio and video resources in my games, including music, podcasts, and short films. I usually stick with rule of cool, and will bend or break the occasional rule to allow players to do something that could happen in real life, or to give the players a very cool moment. Everything has a balance however. Anything the player can do, typically the other people in the world can also do.

Homebrew rules

I typically do not use Homebrew rules with players who are unfamiliar with the system or new to Table Top Roleplaying Games (TTRPGs), but as they become more comfortable with the system we can discuss further.

Safety

How Sean creates a safe table

We will use a Lines and Veils sheet that players can add to on Google Sheets. I will also issue content warning (to the best of my ability) at the start of sessions to give people an idea of what is coming up. I am also happy to chat with players and let them voice concerns and/or issues with the game or the content. Overall, Delta Green can be a very dark game, so I break things up with laughs, jokes, and humour as a way to lighten the mood. This story deals with drug use and violence with a brief section where the agents are required to interview a young girl about her paranormal experience. I have an excel sheet that covers "Lines and Veils" for content and phobias.
