About the adventure

About me
I am a long-time enjoyer of tabletop RPG's, beginning at a young age in the 80s and continuing to play my entire life. I have experience Dungeonmastering in multiple formats, including Play by Post on the 3rd Edition WoTC Forums, in person as an Adventurer League Dungeonmaster at both large conventions and in local stores. I have taught Dungeons and Dragons to everyone from my friends to my kids to celebrities. And I look forward to playing with you! I'm a credited play tester for several of R. Talsorian's Cyberpunk Red supplements, and I also have extensive experience with Dungeons & Dragons. I'm just beginning to learn Mothership which looks like a lot of fun!

Creating your character
Character creation will follow the "Complete Package" rules found on page 42 of the Cyberpunk RED Core Rulebook. This means that characters start at rank 4 of their chosen role, with 62 stat points, 60 distributable skill points, 2550eb for weapons and gear, and 800eb solely for fashion. This game takes place in the year 2077, so it uses the rules of that time period from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit. That means you get the Neuroport Cyberware for free! (You don't have to pay money or humanity for it!) The Neuroport Cyberware comes with the following Cyberpunk Red cyberware (what they're called in 2077 is in parenthesis): Neural Link, Biomonitor, Interface Plugs (Personal Link), Two Chipware Sockets, Chyron (HUD), Virtu (Virtuality) and Holophone (Internal Agent). Feel free to use items and skills from any published work for Cyberpunk RED. These include items from R Talsorian's free DLC, from Interface RED, from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit, and from Black Chrome. If you only have access to the Cyberpunk RED Core Rulebook, don't worry! You'll still have more than enough options available for your character to thrive. I'd like you to create your character between when you join the game and at least two hours before our first session. Preparing for the session
Players will need to create (or already have) a Quest Portal Account. We will be using the Quest Portal App as our Virtual Tabletop to play on. What Pillage Idiot brings to the table
If you're new to Cyberpunk Red I'll explain the rules and mechanics as we play. I'm a firm believer that the best way to learn is to play! I will provide a custom Watch2Gether music mix and multi-media images so that we can all feel the groove and the mood of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners together. But most of all I'll provide an immersive and challenging world where you can follow in the footsteps of David, Lucy and the rest of Maine's old crew. Will you reach your dreams and fly to the moon like Lucy? Or will you descend into cyberpychosis like Maine? Or will you go out like a legend and have songs written about you like David? Regardless of the outcome we'll have a hell of a fun time getting there.
Homebrew rules
I like to stick to the rules as much as possible, but no game can anticipate a write a rule for every situation. As a result I will have to make some judgement calls while we play. I will always try to do so as fairly as possible to you and the other players.

How Pillage Idiot creates a safe table
I would like you each to DM me have a code they can use to pause the game. I regularly pause games for bio breaks, snack breaks, drink breaks, etc. If you are feeling uncomfortable you can ask to pause the game using an excuse that I recognize is the code for you being uncomfortable. That way I can pause the game while maintaining your privacy. Once the game is paused we can move over to Discord and talk privately about what is causing your discomfort, and I can adjust the game accordingly.
