About the adventure
One quest has been resolved, but for a band of heroes in the frozen north, the story is only just beginning. You’ve braved the biting winds of Eiselcross and the dangers therein, but as the snow settles, you realize that Palebank Village was merely the porch to a much larger world. Ancient Aeorian secrets still stir beneath the ice of Foren, and the echoes of the Calamity are louder than ever. Now that you've survived the "Frozen Sick," the question remains: where does your legend go next? This campaign is an open world, player-driven sandbox set within the vibrant world of Exandria. While our journey begins in the treacherous Graying Wildlands, the boundaries of the map are entirely up to you. Whether you choose to delve deeper into the ruins of the Age of Arcanum, navigate the shifting political tensions between the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty, or set sail for the Menagerie Coast, the story follows your lead. This is not a linear path; it is a living world that reacts to your choices, your trials, and your triumphs. As a Dungeon Master, I prioritize "Heroic Realism" and collaborative storytelling. I love deep character arcs where your backstory isn't just flavor—it's the catalyst for the next adventure. You can expect a healthy balance of tactical combat and immersive roleplay, with puzzles and mysteries that unfold as you pull the strings. Thisis a campaign where the NPCs have memories and the world has consequences. We will use the rich lore of Wildemount as our foundation, but the "canon" of our story will be forged by the party's ambitions and curiosity. This game is perfect for fans of Critical Role, lore-hunters, and players who want a campaign that feels like a shared epic. Whether you are a newcomer who just finished your first adventure or a veteran traveler of the planes, you’ll find a home here. If you’re looking for a game where the party truly holds the compass and every horizon is reachable, grab your cold-weather gear—it’s time to see what lies beyond the ice.

About me
I first discovered tabletop gaming in high school, when a friend dragged me into a weekend Dungeons & Dragons session “just to try it.” I walked in curious—and walked out completely hooked. From there I dove into D&D and Pathfinder, exploring every role I could at the table and falling in love with the collaborative chaos, creativity, and community that TTRPGs make possible. Outside of running games, I’m an avid worldbuilder and lore enthusiast. I love digging into setting history, magic systems, and character backstories just as much as I enjoy improvising the unexpected twists that player choices inspire. My experience as both a player and a GM has given me a well-rounded understanding of what makes a table feel exciting, safe, and engaging for everyone involved. Over the years, tabletop gaming has become more than a hobby for me—it’s a creative outlet, a place for connection, and one of my favorite ways to help people tell stories together. Whether I’m leading a new group through their first adventure or supporting veteran players as they chase bold character arcs, I’m dedicated to making sure everyone leaves the table feeling inspired and excited for what comes next.

Creating your character
If you are coming from a previous campaign, you may choose to keep your original character, or switch it up for something new. We will create our party and characters during Session 0, or the first meeting of this campaign. We will begin at level 4. If you are new to playing, never fear! I can walk you through the entire process of creating a character you will love to play. If you are a veteran character, let me know, and we can cook up something new and fun for you to enjoy :) Characters will be created using the 2024 rules, including origins and subclasses from the 2024 Players Handbook. If you want to create something outside of the PHB, let me know and we can build something together.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
During Session 0, I will walk you through how to create an account on Roll20 if you have never done so before, and then you can join our campaign and build your character sheet within our adventure on Roll20. You don't need anything before hand, other than a desire to be a part of a journey filled with exploration and mystery!
What Annalisa brings to the table
My GM style is to build a world around the character you have chosen to play and make it as fun and immersive as possible. I have ambient music, and I use a lots of descriptions to help drop players into the world. I use specific voices, accents and dialects for various NPCs to help players differentiate and to keep the scene alive. You are welcome to try new voices, or not indulge in voices at all - do whatever you are most comfortable with! I will have my camera on to help with facial expressions and gestures, and I would suggest you do the same! It's much easier to get a feel for a character when we can see whether they are smiling or gasping at a child who ran into a pole.

How Annalisa creates a safe table
At the beginning of the session, I will talk about Line and Veils, and then send out a document to be completed by each player with their Lines and Veils. We will talk about how to use macros in Roll20 for things like the X card, Fast Forward, or Pause, and discuss Stars and Wishes, what kind of adventure you want to go on, and what kind of story you would like to be a part of to make sure the entire party is aligned and understands the tone and vibe of the sessions.
