About the adventure
Welcome to Strixhaven, the most prestigious (and explosively unpredictable) university of magic in the multiverse. In this one-shot, you arrive as fresh-faced first-years on the brink of your first big exam, festival, or faculty-decreed “learning opportunity” gone horribly sideways. Hallways rearrange themselves, familiars riot in the quad, and a “simple” assignment spirals into a campus-wide crisis only brave, panicked students can solve. This adventure is a homebrewed, heavily customized take on “Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos”, rebuilt from the ground up to be welcoming for brand new D&D players. Rules are explained at the table, choices are clear without being boring, and the story leans into roleplay, exploration, and creative problem-solving over rule-lawyering. The pacing is tight, sessions are guided, and no one is punished for not knowing what a saving throw is—yet. For more experienced D&D veterans, tucked into the same scenario are optional advanced encounters, layered clues, and tactical challenges that reward clever thinking, system mastery, and deep lore curiosity. You’ll catch the extra hooks: rival college politics, hidden factions, suspicious professors, and magical catastrophes with real teeth. These elements are there if you want to bite, without overwhelming new players who just want to hurl their first spell. Expect a bright, whimsical, lightly chaotic tone with room for both comedy and drama: magical mishaps in lecture halls, enchanted campus hijinks, tense duels under floating lanterns, and a final set-piece where your choices decide whether Strixhaven remembers you as promising prodigies… or a cautionary tale told in future orientations.

About me
I’ve been passionate about tabletop RPGs for over 15 years, during which I’ve run more than 900 sessions and developed a long-term campaign spanning over five years, featuring more than 200 custom maps—all created by me. I've built multiple unique worlds and host games via my own Discord server, where I stream sessions in 1440p at 60 FPS. I’m not only willing but genuinely excited to collaborate on custom homebrew content—whether it’s spells, characters, or other elements—to make each session engaging, memorable, and emotionally impactful. Outside of gaming, I’m a proud father of two, happily married, and a U.S. Army veteran with over six years of service. Recently, I’ve faced some financial challenges. Encouraged by my wife and regular gaming group, I decided to channel my passion and creativity into sharing the drama, humor, and unforgettable stories I craft with others in the community. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please feel free to message me. I’d love to connect!

What Nuisance brings to the table
As part of the campaign experience, I will provide players with a detailed world map of Lustria, hand-crafted to reflect years of careful development. In addition, you’ll gain access to an expansive archive of over 500 maps—including cities, landmarks, and key locations across the realm. To further enrich the setting, I’ve curated thematic music, authentic in-world recipes from various cultures within Lustria, and an immersive world populated by a vast array of NPCs, each with their own deep histories and motivations. This is more than just a setting—it’s a fully realized world, alive with culture, conflict, and mystery. From ancient ruins to bustling trade ports, Lustria offers a wealth of narrative possibilities and lore that stretches far beyond what you might expect. Prepare to step into a living story shaped by your choices and the world around you.

How Nuisance creates a safe table
Player safety and group harmony are top priorities in my campaign. I have a clear set of rules and expectations in place, and I will consistently enforce them to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and immersive environment for everyone. If any concerns arise—whether it’s interpersonal conflict, disruptive behavior, or a formal complaint—I will address the matter swiftly and appropriately. I bring with me years of military experience as an infantryman, including leading both teams and squads in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as completing extensive leadership training. These experiences have equipped me to handle challenges with a calm, measured, and solution-oriented approach, while remaining sensitive to the needs and perspectives of everyone involved. My goal is to ensure that every player feels safe, respected, and supported, so that we can all fully enjoy the collaborative storytelling and adventure that Lustria has to offer.
