About the adventure

NOTE: This game starts June 6, 2026 and will run weekly until completion (estimated 3 sessions) The village of Gloomshire lives in a perpetual state of horror. Darkness and the walking dead terrorize the town. The elven bard, Bellamy, sums it up best as he sings The Legend of Gloomshire: The Legend of Gloomshire (Retold by Bellamy the Elven Bard) In times long past, our merry town Was bustling with people, the richest around From lands afar came pilgrims, highborne and low To pay respects to the Order of the Blue Rose Before a god long forgotten, they bowed and kneeled Basked in the glory, their spirits healed But one day came Morrigan, queen of the night And brought about a time of spite Brother fought brother, friends became foes And so came the end of the Blue Rose The paladins were exiled, much to their dismay Now all the folks could do was kneel down and pray Their prayers were answered, a hero came forth Her name was Fiona, she drew her sword She struck Morrigan, the demon, with force divine And so ended the woe and the demons resigned The dark times were over and evil was gone But Gloomshire has yet to see a new dawn This adventure will likely take 3 sessions to complete, but that number will vary depending on role-playing opportunities, side-quests and the general pace of the group.

About me

Playing since 1986 during 5th Grade recess and haven't looked back! I enjoy watching the stories grow and have many fond memories from decades of playing. For me, the journey of discovery is what makes roleplaying such a rewarding hobby!

Character creation

Creating your character

You are welcome to bring in a new Dragonbane character! Just get me the details a few days in advance. Use the creation rules from the Rulebook. Talk to me first if you are considering any of the optional kin from the Bestiary. Alternatively, the standard Dragonbane Pre-Gens will be made available.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A mic and headset are a must. If there is excessive background noise, I may ask you to switch to Push-to-Talk. A laptop/desktop computer to access Foundry (no account needed, just navigate to the weblink I will post in the Discord immediately before the game)

What Sir Beef brings to the table

Discord for Audio Foundry VTT Midjourney digital assets Mirth and Mayhem! We have the option to record the session and post it on my Youtube gaming channel where you can relive past glories! If you are not ok with this, please speak to me ahead of time!

Homebrew rules

I use an optional rule for poisons, but you are welcome to stick to the RAW. I make both available (I think my way is a little easier and a tad bit gentler). I also use an optional rule of 5 Improvement Marks per session (from the Solo rules), but I will also read the XP questionnaire if anyone wants to do it "by the book".
