About the adventure
The Forsaken Province is a land of magic, ambition, and fractured fairy tales. Stories here do not unfold the way you expect. Heroes do not always win. Villains are rarely simple. Happily ever after exists, but it must be fought for, stolen, or forged in blood. The world is divided into Nine Lands, each ruled by a figure remembered in our world as a villain. Long ago, they tore themselves free from their original stories and dragged their kingdoms with them. They stripped identities. They outlawed dangerous magic. They carved the world into territories and crowned themselves sovereign. For a time, there was order. Each ruler had their domain. Each kingdom bent the knee. Peace, of a sort, endured. But villains are not known for contentment. Greed followed. Rivalries sharpened. Borders shifted. Wars erupted over land, influence, and control. The more they fought each other, the less tightly they could grip the world. Magic slipped through the cracks. Old legends resurfaced. New heroes began to rise. And slowly, quietly, the villains began to lose. This is where our story begins. The world stands at a turning point. Power is unstable. Thrones are vulnerable. The balance between tyranny and rebellion trembles. The question is not whether change is coming. It is who will shape it. You can play the fairy tale royal who refuses to be a pawn. The shining knight whose heart is bigger than their sense. The courtier who smiles while planning a coup. The witch seeking redemption. The monster who wants more than the role they were given. If you can imagine it, we can likely make it fit. The Forsaken Province was born from a love of twisted fairy tales and character-driven drama. Over years of play, it has grown into a living world filled with political tension, strange magic, and room for bold ideas. I have welcomed mimic wizards, wild magic constructs, cursed heirs, fallen prodigies, and far stranger things. This is a setting that rewards creativity. Raise your creative flag. Bring the character you have always wanted to play. Step into a world where stories can be rewritten and thrones are never as secure as they seem. Happily ever after is not guaranteed. But it is possible.

About me
Wow, what is there to say about me? I am a long time lover and player of Dungeons and Dragons. I started out in 3.5 and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.

Creating your character
We will begin at Level 1. Character creation starts before Session Zero and continues collaboratively during it. I prefer to build characters through Discord so we can talk through ideas, connect them to the setting, and ensure your concept feels grounded and powerful within the Forsaken Province. You are not expected to show up with a perfectly optimized sheet. You are expected to show up with imagination. If you already have a character concept you love, bring it. We will refine it together and root it into the world’s politics, factions, history, or ruling powers. If you are starting from scratch, I will walk you through the lore and help you find something that excites you. Ability Scores We will use 6 sets of 4d6 drop one, rerolling one one as our method of determining our stats. I prefer methods that keep the party balanced while still allowing strong, competent characters. Allowed Content Official 5e material is welcome. If you have something from an official book, bring it. If you have a concept from third-party material or homebrew, I am open to reviewing it. I run a setting with extensive custom options, so creative ideas are encouraged, not shut down. If something does not fit the tone or power level, we will adjust it together rather than simply veto it. I have allowed everything from mimic wizards to wild magic constructs to cursed nobles and political masterminds. Integration Into the World This is the most important part. Your backstory will not sit untouched. During character creation, we will: • Tie you to a specific region or faction • Establish at least one meaningful relationship • Define a personal goal or tension • Identify something in the world that matters deeply to you The Forsaken Province is a politically charged, character-driven setting. The more we connect your character to it, the more satisfying your arc becomes. This process makes the game more dynamic for you and gives me threads I can pull on emotionally and narratively. Victories will feel earned because they will be personal. Tone and Party Cohesion Session Zero will also establish: • Party connections or shared history • Tone boundaries and comfort levels • Themes the group wants to explore • How morally gray or heroic the party intends to be You do not need to build alone. In fact, I prefer that you do not. By the time Session One begins, you will not just have a character sheet. You will have a place in the world. Bring enthusiasm. Bring a concept. Bring something you want to explore. We will handle the rest.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Having a basic understanding of the rules will for sure help get us up and going faster, but it is not needed. I have taught a lot of people how to play this amazing game and can help you through some of the more complex rules. Having a DnDbeyond account will also be useful as that is the site we will be using to create the characters.
What PUN brings to the table
I will bring all the content on DnDBeyond you need, maps and tokens as needed, as well as the experience in the applications we use to help facilitate the game.

How PUN creates a safe table
Before you start out in a game I send you a link to a google form for lines and veils that is amalgamated anonymously for the group to see its lines. Players are encouraged to stop the session or message the GM if there is something in the game that is problematic. My main goal in these games is to have a fun, safe, and healthy table. I am very big on not railroading players. So gameplay will really depend on what you are wanting to do. DnD is a group story telling game and if the group wants a murder mystery style for a few sessions then move on to a heist style of gameplay that is more than ok by me.
