About PUN
Wow, what is there to say about me? I am a long time lover and player of Dungeons and Dragons. I started out in 3.5 and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.

I became a GM because
because I have been building worlds since I was a kid, and I learned that stories are better when they are shared. GMing lets me take that love of storytelling and turn it into something collaborative, unpredictable, and alive. The real magic is in the people at the table shaping it with me.
My favorite shows/movies are
tend to be ones with strong worldbuilding and bold premises. The Magicians, Merlin, Shadow and Bone, Arcane. I’m drawn to stories where magic feels layered, politics matter, and characters are forced to grow inside complicated systems.
When I'm not running games I'm...
I’m usually building the world they take place in or reading something that sparks the next idea. Whether it’s fantasy novels, mythology, history, or something completely unexpected, I’m always feeding the creative engine that keeps my tables alive.
How PUN runs games
I love a good roleplay heavy session. I have a couple of voice that I can do but don't make fun of me for slipping in and out of them! I am a super laid back and a "will of the players" type GM. The "rule of cool" is something I live by I may allow something to happen just because I deem it cool. I sometimes twist or bend the rules to make a game more fun for both the players and myself. I mostly run a homebrew game but love running more sandbox modules such as Out of the Abyss.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
they would be directed by Guillermo del Toro and Denis Villeneuve. Del Toro for the fairy tale darkness and strange beauty, Villeneuve for the scale, political weight, and quiet tension that builds before everything explodes.
I prep by
by building situations, not scripts. I develop factions, motives, locations, and consequences so the world reacts naturally to player choices. I focus on emotional stakes, long-term arcs, and making sure every session feels connected to the larger story.
Rules are...
the foundation, not the cage. I follow 5e closely enough to keep things fair and consistent, but I prioritize story flow and cinematic moments when it makes sense. If a ruling needs to happen quickly, I make the call and we can revisit it after the session if needed.
PUN's ideal table
My ideal table is made up of players who care about story as much as mechanics. People who show up consistently, respect the time and creativity of everyone at the table, and genuinely want to build something meaningful together. I value players who invest in their characters beyond the stat block, who think about motivations, relationships, and long-term goals. I love curious, collaborative players. The kind who ask questions about the world, read the lore, and look for ways to tie themselves deeper into it. Players who take initiative, form bonds with each other, and are not afraid of emotional stakes. Messy character choices are welcome. Moral gray areas are welcome. Consequences are part of the fun. My ideal group understands that this is a shared story. Spotlight is something we rotate, not compete for. Communication is open and respectful. When tension happens in the narrative, it stays in the narrative. Above all, I’m looking for players who want to stick around long enough to see their decisions echo. The kind of table that grows together, laughs together, survives chaos together, and reaches the end of an arc feeling like they built something real.

I love it when a player
commits fully to a moment. When they let their character be vulnerable, proud, reckless, stubborn, compassionate. When they make a choice that costs something and trust the story to carry it forward.
I think it's a red flag when players...
treat the game like it revolves around them alone. D&D is collaborative. Spotlight is shared. If someone consistently talks over others, ignores party cohesion, or refuses to respect tone and boundaries, that usually causes problems long-term.
My table is not the place for...
for discrimination of any kind. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or hate disguised as “jokes” will not be tolerated. This is a space where people from all backgrounds can come together to tell powerful stories and feel respected while doing it.
