Creating your character

Create a character when you get here. D&D 2024 Please make sure you play a magic user. It is a magic school, after all! We will start at level 1. If you transfer in later, we will start you at the appropriate level. Any legal material is just fine. We will use the new site: gamefest.app Join the Elf Punks Must Die (EPMD) FREE game. Beginners and experts alike are welcome, and I will be there to assist.

Preparing for the session

No preparation needed, I'm going for quick and intense. Having said that, if you would like to think about your character’s motivations for… perhaps… considering murder… then that’s cool. Think about what you want to play, and roll with it! Honestly, most of the details will come out in roleplay, and that’s a wonderful thing. Don’t worry about preparation much, we’ll do character stats and portraits when you start the game.

What Doc brings to the table

I excel at roleplay, and there will be plenty of that. I am also good at worldbuilding, and have a rich setting that I hope you will enjoy. I do so love intense, elegant descriptions, and deep, plot driven stories! We are basically rules as written for this game, though the occasional rule of cool may sneak through. You will certainly encounter creatures and spells that you have never seen before. I do try to use some voices, although that is not my strong point! We will use some maps for combat, though we will also use theatre of the mind. Many of the images will be AI generated, although the story, plot, writing and concept will be mine (and a mix of stuff I’ve written or read or watched or imagined for more than 60 years…). I am extremely flexible, and will adapt to whatever moves you wish to make in-game. I do not seek to limit your player agency. I will, however, not allow any bullying or abuse of any players. I just won't. Should this happen, your money will be refunded and you will be asked to leave. This is a safe place. I realize that in this situation, I am working for you. I appreciate you, and will give you my best in return.

Homebrew rules

I use a small romance mechanic, it is optional and non-intrusive.

How Doc creates a safe table

Anyone can take a break whenever they wish, including missing a session or two, without penalty. Anyone may request a fade to black without penalty. The safety of the group and the individual is our main concern. At any time, any player may comment on their concerns, and we will discuss them immediately (Luxon Technique).
