About the adventure

The Mythic Frontier is a West Marches style game which has an open table, players are not expected to show up every week and reserve seats to play in sessions ahead of time. This Campaign supports a larger number of people working in and out of session alongside each other to complete overarching goals, and singular simple goals during One Shot style games. Players with unstable schedules or only want to play sparingly are welcome! The feel of each session will have different goals and vibes from the last, and one constant to count on is they will be fun in ways that matters to you. Friday is the Mythic Frontier's permanent slot in my schedule, I can run Mythic Frontier on Saturday and Sunday but they may be replaced by the active single party Campaigns like Immortal Taria and the Fatalist Guild. This Campaign involves your community using a 'Home Base' where between sessions players can learn new skills, speak with certain NPCs and with other PCs, complete downtime events, and create boons for the Mighty Frontier. You'll be returning to this base or staying in a camp to rest and heal after sessions end. Sessions are designed to be completed in 3~ hours of play, sometimes the party is going to find ways to break the game intentionally or not and that is totally fine. Good luck out there! About me

I've been playing TTRPGs for a very long time, but I will always believe that there are a lot more stories to tell. I want to give people the room to see those stories as protagonists within them.

Character creation

Creating your character

Starting level is 3. Standard Array or Point Buy stats! Maxed out fixed HP at all Levels. Take an extra Feat at Level 1. No Eberron Mark options for character creation, everything else WotC official is fine. Homebrew must be discussed with GM. Your INT modifier (such as +1, +2, +3, +4, +5,) is also a number of points you can spend on proficiency/expertise. 1 point may give you proficiency for a skill (like Insight or Animal Handling,) a weapon/armor, a tool, or a language, and you can use a point to gain expertise in a skill/tool you're already proficient in.

What Electrorocket [Jake] brings to the table

FoundryVTT for making 5e even easier to play. DungeonDraft for making some nice looking combat maps. Occasional background ambient soundscapes, and music. Combat is a mix of difficult tactical decisions and rule of cool. If it makes too much sense and it's creative, I'm likely to approve in some way. Roleplaying is mainly through voice so I will attempt to voice act using as many unique inventive voices and mannerisms I can muster. I place a lot of effort into making the game immersive and the audio/voices of the NPC and world are half the game! I also attempt to provide interesting visuals and useful tools for accessing information during sessions pretty constantly, we're playing online, that stuff is really important!

Safety

How Electrorocket [Jake] creates a safe table

My games are all-inclusive, anyone can sign up to play. I do not allow harassment of any kind, but friendly banter is always accepted. Chill out, slip into character, and have fun with new friends. During, before, and after Session 0 will discuss various safety topics to ensure that fun is the only option when we're playing D&D5e!
