About the adventure
The frontier was never gentle—but it was never like this. Across the rolling prairie and iron-studded boomtowns of the West, a creeping Black Mist rolls in, swallowing homesteads and leaving the living dead in its wake. Steam-driven harvesters sit abandoned in the fields, revolvers lie cold in skeletal hands, and blue mist-lanterns flicker against a darkness that does not fear the dawn. Outlaws prey on isolated settlements, twisted wildlife stalks the tree lines, and an order of anti-magic zealots tightens its grip on civilization—branding spellcasters as heretics and blaming arcane hands for the catastrophe. In a land fueled by coal, oil, and grit, faith in steel is all that remains… and even that is beginning to rust. From the dust and doubt rise five unlikely souls—outcasts, drifters, and the unwanted—drawn together by bounty, survival, or sheer stubborn defiance. What begins as simple contracts against mist-spawn and raiders becomes something far larger: a reckoning with the source of the Black Mist itself. As settlers struggle to carve a future from unforgiving land, a terrible promise looms over them—that death itself may be abolished, not through salvation, but through undeath. To save the frontier, these five must ride into a war where revolvers roar beside spellfire, steam engines clash with dark sorcery, and the line between hero and heretic is drawn in blackened fog. I am very excited to share the ideas and setting thats been rattling around in my brain for some time now. This game is intended for young adults and adults. The theme is wild west/cowpunk/fantasy/horror. The Setting is a postapocolyptic forgotton realms Expect Gun toting Cowboys, Undead threats, anti magic mentality , MECHS and riding off into the sunset with a bag of zombie body parts !
