About the adventure

The Adventurers League is WotC’s system of Organized Play. Players can create a character one night at one table and then go to an entire other DM as long as all of those DMs are running AL-approved modules and you’re willing to keep track of the adventurers you play in. Please see - adventurersleague.info and/or dndbeyond.com/tag/adventurers-league for information on the rules, regulations and rewards of Organized Play. Games in this timeslot will use modules for Tier 2 characters (level 1-4). If you want other Tiers (Tier 1 is 1-4, Tier 2 is 5-10, Tier 3 is 11-17, Tier 4 is 18-20) please see my other listings. For character creation purposed, these will mostly be set in the Forgotten Realms. Other realms can be run upon request by regular players, and which realm is being played in may change over time. Please send a message if you want to request a particular module or just want to know which one I am running this week.

About me

Hi! I've played RPGs since the mid-90's and love the many ways these games manifest - beer and pretzel dungeons crawls, sprawling epics, DRAH-MAH - I love it all. Forever DM, ready to bring my love for these games to others. My favorite RPGs are Classic White Wolf, Deadlands, Exalted, and D&D. I like to run modules as well as sandbox and anything in between. I prefer if my players are knowledgeable in the system and setting but aren't savage lore/mechanics nerds, but if there are players who are new to either it is also fun to share these with folks who have never experienced either. In the real world I am a musician and educator.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord and Roll20 Information will be available in the game chat or by direct message. DnD Beyond and Beyond20 are recommended.

What Kelly brings to the table

AL modules are fairly linear, so don't try to think too far outside the box in how you try to solve the scenarios. Think of them like episodes in a TV show - in a few brief acts the problems are dealt with and next week we have another brief adventure. Sometimes it's part of the same storyline, sometimes it's a different kind of story entirely, but with the same characters. Maybe there's a guest star! If loot hounding is your thing, each adventure will earn your character something significant like a magic item and other loot. There are systems for downtimes that players manage on their own, including how to use the Bastion system.

Homebrew rules

See the AL rules for their homebrew: adventurersleague.info dndbeyond.com/tag/adventurers-league My homebrew rule is that if you don't like the result of any of your healing effects, you can ask me to roll the same number of dice and you must accept that result. (Yours or Mine)

Safety

How Kelly creates a safe table

AL is, by its nature, an open table, so there is no real chance to have a full Session Zero. Each session will reserve some time to go over the Safety Tools being used at that session and give player introductions
