About the adventure
Planegea is a world before metal, before writing, before kingdoms. Tribes wander vast wildernesses shaped by primordial forces. Dinosaurs and megafauna dominate the land. Spirits are real and active. The gods are distant and alien. Sometimes even speaking certain truths can invite divine punishment. There is no steel. No cities. No permanent empires. Only survival, reputation, and belief. In this campaign, you begin as members of a wandering tribe navigating a brutal, beautiful world. You will cross mammoth-haunted tundras, primordial jungles, volcanic wastes, and spirit-touched wilds. You will encounter rival tribes, ancient ruins from lost ages, monstrous predators, and cosmic omens written in the stars. But this is not just a survival story. Over time, your tribe will change because of you. Your decisions will shape traditions. Your victories and failures will define taboos. Your alliances may determine whether your people continue to wander… or choose to plant roots. The long-term arc of this campaign is cultural creation. You are not inheriting a kingdom. You are building the first version of one. Expect: • Tribal politics and evolving leadership • Spiritual bargains and dangerous magic • Resource scarcity and meaningful travel • Reputation systems that matter • A slow-burning cosmic mystery tied to the Star-Shaman’s Song If you want to carve your people’s story into the bones of the world and one day look back and say, “This is where our culture began,” then this is your table.

About me
I am a former award-winning stage actor, writer, and director who has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 1998 and GMing since 2001. Over the years I’ve run Advanced D&D 2nd Edition, 3.0/3.5, GURPS, Star Wars, Rifts, Vampire, Marvel Multiverse, DC Universe, Wheel of Time, and many many more, before finding my home again in 5th Edition. At the table, I specialize in immersive storytelling, cinematic voice acting, and character-driven narratives. I create living worlds filled with complex NPCs where player choices matter — shaping the story and weaving backstories into a larger campaign arc. My goal is to give players the chance to grow their characters into legends in ways that feel personal and memorable. When I’m not running games, I stream on YouTube and Twitch or gather my family around the table to share the joy of roleplay.

Creating your character
I'll be working one on one with you in a session zero to help you build a character that will have fun in this campaign setting.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account as well as a Roll20 account (where the maps are played).
What The Chaos Shaman brings to the table
I host our Discord server where our games will take place. I also provide music, sound effects and ambience through Opus. I use animated battlemaps and custom tokens on Roll20.
Homebrew rules
This campaign will be using the rules provided in The Star-Shaman's Song of Planegea, as well as material from Dr. Dhrolin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs

How The Chaos Shaman creates a safe table
At any point before, during or after a game, any player can contact me and request I change the material. We can discuss this in private or as a group. A simple "X" in a private message during a game will cause a scene change. Safety and content will be discussed during the free session zero.
