About me

Heyo friends! My name is Sam and I love telling great stories! Playing TTRPGs is unlike any other experience and I love working with players to make new friend groups, awesome characters and amazing stories that brings everyone around the table (or VTT) closer together. Whether it's just a one-shot or a long campaign, I'm just happy to invest in the characters, roleplay their struggles and fight to the end! Hope to see you on the other side of the DM's screen!

Character creation

Creating your character

Once a party and session time are established, I can work individually / communally over discord messages and support players during character creation. I utilize D&D Beyond to streamline the character creation process and send a campaign link through discord to the party to connect their characters and the DM together. Paper and Pencil character sheets are also welcome, as well as dice rolls, upholding an open and honest communication with the dungeon master.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Sessions will be held over discord so a stable internet connection and quality microphone are preferred; webcams and video is optional. Character sheets can be physical copies (if shared with the DM) or accessed via D&D Beyond as are virtual dice rolls and/or physical dice rolls (honor system applies). For visual reference of spaces and maps, Owlbear Rodeo VTT is my preferred method of software and a link, and any assistance for token creation will be provided to the group. I'm also open to other formats if a strong preference is given.

What Sam brings to the table

I'm personally do a mix of virtual and physical dice rolls, depending on my superstitions. I like to help keep track of Player Characters abilities and stats for streamlined play and set up virtual maps via Owlbear Rodeo VTT. A link to the Campaign on D&D Beyond will be provided to compile all character sheets in one virtual location. I am also open to any and all feedback or critiques via Discord private messages after or before each session.

Safety

How Sam creates a safe table

Players can expect a great amount of support and DM help during character creation and backstory (if they so wish/need); beginners welcome! Once a session is planned, a communal discord is established to better communicate between the party and relay information seamlessly. I'm open to any and all questions or advice! My private messages are always open to discuss triggers or possible difficult content problems at any time and my goal is to create a fun, safe and communal roleplaying experience for everyone.
