Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings everybody! I am a storyteller at heart who loves all forms of fiction. I run games ranging from pulpy sci-fi to gritty fantasy and everything in between. I especially love weird or non-standard settings. Superheroes in a cyberpunk city? Time-traveling fantasy adventure? Teenagers on a supernatural road trip? I'm all here for it. I believe that tabletop RPGs are a unique storytelling experience where everyone at the table becomes both author and audience to the shared story. Facilitating this shared storytelling experience is my primary goal as a GM. My games do not make use of generative AI for writing, music, or images. Storytelling is a fundamentally human experience, and synthesized plagiarism has no place in my games. I look forward to sharing stories with you! Profile picture created by Neo! How Nathan Patrick Lane creates a safe table
Prior to session zero, I will be contacting everyone for Lines, Veils, and Wishes. These will be done through PMs for the sake of privacy. During session zero, we will make introductions, go over Lines & Veils, and create characters. Young Irregulars takes place in a Victorian setting, but this game seeks to avoid the prejudices that the Victorian era reflected - both in history and in literature. While individual characters may display such behaviors, they will invariably be treated as ignorant at best and evil at worst. Moreover, your heroes are expected to be above such backwards beliefs. I hold a zero tolerance policy towards racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other such biases in players - display of such behaviors will result in an immediate kick.
