About the adventure
You are no lowlife adventurer: you are a proud noble, a prosperous merchant, an influential patron of the arts, or a secret agent for the powerful. You played your part during the last war and have the scars to show for it, some of them cut deep into your soul. You are called once more to carry out a secret mission: to bring the last heir to the throne back from exile and help them reclaim their kingdom! This will be a medium length campaign, aimed at high drama and fast action. Expanding on the Five Banners Burning campaign frame, the players can expect to interact with a large cast of NPCs with more nuanced motivations. The Darggerheart rules system provides a narrative focused game with some nice tactical options to get you engaged. And it's very easy to learn, too! If you are a big fan of shows like Game of Thrones and Avatar the Last Airbender, or games like Dragon Age and Fire Emblem, this game is for you.

About me
Hi there! Iām Javi, and Iāve been running Dungeons & Dragons games and other TTRPGs since 1995. That year, I first discovered TTRPGs and instantly fell in love with the hobby. It quickly became a creative calling: building worlds, guiding adventurers, and crafting stories that leave lasting impressions on people. I care most about creating experiences that feel exciting and emotionally grounded. I want players to feel immersed in the story; this means they make meaningful choices and form real connections. My three decades of experience has given me the tools to create detailed, unique, and memorable gaming sessions with a sense of depth and agency. Whether the tone leans toward epic, tragic, or lighthearted, my focus is always on immersion, character-driven storytelling, and building a table where everyone feels safe and excited to roleplay. Over the years, Iāve run games for a wide range of players and personalities, and Iāve learned that the best sessions come from trust and communication. I love adapting to different playstyles and weaving each playerās imagination into the adventure. If youāre looking for a game that values story, character, and genuine collaboration, I'd love to see you at my table. The adventureās waiting, and thereās always room for one more!

Creating your character
The PCs all start at level 1, and I estimate they will reach level 5 by the campaign's climax. It's highly encouraged that each player owns a copy of the Daggerheart Core Rulebook, but is not mandatory. If you happen to use Demiplane and have an account there, you can use that platform to create your character. Void content is allowed, at https://www.daggerheart.com/thevoid/, though I as the GM have a final say over any character concept that players come up with. The game will feature a strong emphasis in intrigue and daring action. Characters will be best served if they have connections to existing factions or key NPCs (which will be expanded upon during Session 0). Personal values and deep emotional connections are the source of character drama, so I encourage you to consider you character motivations and relationships before you start this campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before you join the game, please make sure you have access to the following things: āļø Have a Discord Account- We'll use voice chat here to host the session. āļø Use a working microphone so we don't lose any swears, cheers, or battle cries. āļø A good pair of headphones so you don't miss a beat. āļø Cams are encouraged, yet optional! I'll be running my camera, as I'm comfortable and feel that it adds to player immersion. No pressure on your end, but would love to have you join. āļø Have a reliable computer and stable internet access so you can jump in to Roll20 or Owlbear Rodeo. š”ļø Optional: You can read the Daggerheart System Reference Document for free at https://www.daggerheart.com/srd/
What Javi GZ brings to the table
I have decades running ttrpgs under my belt. I strive to bring the characters and the world to life. I do voices when I can and add my own spin to the world and the NPCs so they stand out. The way I run combat also errs on the more challenging side. Whether your main interest is dungeon crawling, intense combat, looting, or social encounters, there should be a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy.

How Javi GZ creates a safe table
When joining, please share your Lines and Veils. I personally have a HARD LINE for sexual themes, racism, bigotry, and discussion of real-world politics. If lines/veils need to be shared beyond that, please do so. I encourage everyone to come to my gaming table with a spirit of collaboration, empathy and great fun. Be a good sport, share the spotlight, be a fan of the other player characters, and behave with others like you would like to be treated. This is a game for mature players, so dark themes, moral ambiguity and crude violence are part of the experience. That said, everyone deserves a table where they know their boundaries, understand the tone, and feel comfortable speaking up if something crosses a personal line. I keep safety tools simple, clear, and unobtrusive so the game stays immersive without becoming overly sanitized. āļø Session 0 Basics. Before we begin, weāll briefly cover: - Tone (grim fantasy, intrigue, tension). - Player expectations (team-focused, respectful, cooperative). - Campaign elements you can and cannot expect. This takes just a few minutes and ensures we all start on the same page. š Lines & Veils (Short Version). I provide a short list of common lines & veils in Discord. You can add anything privately or publicly. No essays, no deep divesājust clear boundaries. Lines = Not included. Veils = May appear, but only off-screen. This keeps the campaign intense without crossing genuine comfort limits. š X/N/O Tools (Simple & Quiet). I use a minimal, discreet system that does not interrupt the game: X = āHard stop, skip this, move on.ā N = āNot loving this direction, adjust a bit.ā O = āAll good, keep going.ā You can message me directly or drop the letter in Discord. You never need to explain why. š§ Respect at the Table. I expect everyone to: - Respect each other - Avoid PvP unless explicitly agreed - Keep character conflict in-character only - Use mature judgment when dealing with adult themes. āļø Violence and injustice. The Promised Prince may include drama, danger, and intensityābut I do not use: - Graphic gore for shock value - Sexual violence (hard line) - Torture scenes - Misery for miseryās sake Violence and misery should feel engaging and dramatic, not exploitative or uncomfortable. š¬ Aftercare (Lightweight). After each session, I open a quick check-in channel where you can: - Ask questions. - Clarify moments. - Mention anything that didnāt land right. - Celebrate cool character moments. Itās optional and briefāno group therapy, just honest communication.
